I Looking To Buy My Next Performance Mod
But I'm really confused i don't know what the buy next
I got all the main parts I wanted out of the way but I'm not sure what's next
I want a tuner or Dyno tune but I'm going to wait a little for them
To work out the kinks I've read Alot of bad things about the tuners so ill just wait...I Was thinking about a TC but really hate to breakin to the tranny id really hate to break something I drive really rough always on the pedal
And id hate to spend all kinds of money to put everything back to stock
And then take back to the dealer then after they fix spend the money again to put all mods back again....HELP

you need a tuner to tune for the mods you have. It will dial in performance perfectly.

save up for some long tube headers!

I like this ^^^
Plus there is no dyno tuning option available for you truck as the Diablo tuners aren't ready for the '13s just yet.
Only option is the B and yea there are kinks to have ironed out.
Diablo would seem like a better route for you, given your mods and want for more power.
But headers is a sweet idea.
Plus once tuned (when available).....You'll grin ear to ear.

I would say headers is the best performance mod I have installed by far. The stock exhaust system on the truck is so restricted at the y pipe, it's not funny. I added a set of American Racing Headers long tubes and night and day as far as performance. They are as expensive as a mortgage payment, but you will thank yourself after. I would say it is something the average guy with some mechanical skills can do in about 10 hours. It is something that you can do and feel good about when your done also. If you have and questions about the install contact me and I will go through it with you no problem. Enjoy your new ride. Looks great.

Headers are your next engine mod, but I would reconsider that tq converter. You are going to feel more of a gain from the converter than you will from any other mod you have done. Antonio's friend should be able to take care of you at a reasonable price for the install.

Gears, torque converter, and longtube headers are the best mods for these trucks, trust me.

I will see about the converter maybe next week. Just ordered mine from Matt. Sounds like everyone has the same ideas, but its a call that you alone will have to make. Look for something that will not break the bank and I'm sure whatever you choose will make you smile.:artist1:

Listen to Matt! I broke my trans open with 13,000 miles on it and was the best thing I did. I am waiting for S&B to come out with the 2500 system and then long tubes and then I'm done with bolt on. On the TC, if you have Trans problems the only way they can tell it is aftermarket is to break it open. I put mine side by side with my stock and could not tell a difference until it was bolted in. It will be a completely different truck!

TC will give you the biggest performance boost of any mod, except maybe a supercharger :)

I daily drove my 08 Sierra with a 3000 stall with no issues. Sometimes it got annoying having it rev up in light to light traffic but its doable.

It took about .3 off my 1/4 mile time too

2800 stall isn't noticeable in daily traffic, in normal driving you won't notice the truck revving up any more than normal, punching it from a light you'll notice a jump though. Keep in mind what you are doing with the truck though. aftermarket tc can build up a bit more heat in the trans during normal driving, and can making towing an issue. With the 3rd gens it's it's highly recommended that you install a better trans cooler and trans temp gauge. If you tow anything big, really look at the tc you're buying to see how well it rates for towing purposes and heat purposes.
