So i got the hood louver installed last night. I didn't get the hood cut out, at first i thought I screwed up and was supposed to print it off before installing. After research this morning i found that i was shorted that in the box.

But appearance wise i think it's great, really tied the front together. Here soon I'll pull it back off and make it functional. I'll be calling poison Spyder on Monday to see if they can send it out to me.

Alright so I've just been enjoying the truck as of lately. Not a whole lot has been done, I got the Smittybilt Adventure box bolted down this morning before work. Was a giant pain in the ass to get to the nuts on the bolts above the gas tank, but with a few adult words I got it haha.

So all my cargo solutions are done. All I've really got left now is to do the axe and shovel mount on the backside of the TireGate, then Monday the rest of my stuff will be here. Roto Pax 2 gallon fuel, 2 gallon water, locking mount and extension. I'll be mounting it to the I Rack above my license plate.

Was supposed to leave the truck last night to get the front end regeared and ARB installed, but my coworker doesn't have the time on Sunday to finish the truck up, and regear and locker with wiring to ensure everything is in working order is a 2 day job. I'm going to a wedding next weekend and we'll be taking the Burban, so my truck will be left at work Thursday night and my coworker said he can start on it Friday night and hopefully have it done by Sunday morning, which I should be home Sunday night so we'll just detour to my work and pick it up.

Pics of the storage.

I like the box at the front. Nice and compact, doesn't take up the room that the big chrome tool boxes do. Plus still get the tonneau cover

Both of the boxes are capable of going under a cover which is a plus. My main thing I like about it is the tie down anchors, and the fact that is has a separate drawer on it. I have the camper shell that I'm getting the ball rolling on building here soon, so I couldn't do a crossover tool box without having to remove it when I want to run the shell, so this is a nice compromise. I keep majority of my quick access stuff in the swing case, such as straps, small tools, etc. Then I have all my winch and recovery gear in the adventure box.

Photo wise I only have one photo to update with. I got the Roto-Pax installed. I have the water canister placed in the adventure box, I should have photo chopped something to see what it was going to look like. Hangs way to far off the back with both cans on, looks goofy and kind of an eye sore. So for now I just have the fuel can locked on, then when I go on trips and stuff I can add the water can whenever.

Now onto the negativity for the week. My ignorance got the best of me. Monday night I went over to the shop to install the Roto-Pax on the I Rack. I left out of there around 8 at night and the truck was acting kind of funny for the first time that day, like it was revving up and down as it was driving at a steady speed. I wound up stopped at a stop light, then when I went to go it revved like nothing was there, then it slowllllly started to go and started bucking like crazy. It shifted into 2nd, then 3rd but wouldn't go any further. After about a quarter mile I slowed it down and after that it wouldn't shift past 2nd gear.

So, I pulled over. Tranny fluid was indeed full, but the oil was black and smelled burnt. I just adjusted the bands a bit ago, so I'm assuming I fuckered something up. Anywho, I got back in and started my way back to the shop so I could drop the pan later this week. Next thing I know, it's bucking and revving while in 1st gear, and not shifting into 2nd. I dropped the shifter down, 2nd gear engaged, but drive had no response. So I had to milk it back across town with only 2 gears, along with it bucking and slipping while accelerating in 1st. I wound up driving it to the transmission shop my work does a lot of business with.

Yesterday they dropped the pan, informed me that the clutches were absolutely fried which is what I was thinking happened.

So.....yesterday I pulled money from the safari shell build and ordered a "Monster In A Box" from Monster Transmission. I got the torque converter supplied with it as well. Today it arrived at the transmission shop, and as we speak they have it out and are in the process of rebuilding everything.

I'm excited to finally get this out of the way, almost 180k and no transmission rebuild to my knowledge of the truck, it was due for it.

Downside: I won't be able to drive the truck until Sunday. Tomorrow I'm leaving work early and we're heading down on a road trip to Utah. My boss said he'll arrange for my truck to get picked up probably Friday morning or late tomorrow, to which it has another appointment at another place next door to my work.

The locksmith. I have way tooo many keys for this thing. I have a key for the doors/ignition, fuel door, adventure box, swing case, the master locks on both the swing case and the cable around the TireGate for the spare, my receiver hitch, camper shell, Roto-Pax, and the safe inside my truck that holds my gun. So, we're doing a "Master Lock" combo kit and then a bunch of the replacement tumblers. Gonna have the receiver hitch, master locks for the spare and swing case, and the camper shell all keyed to use my ignition key. On the swing case, adventure box, and fuel door they all have the same swing style arm on the backside to lock with, so I'm having new tumblers keyed alike and installed, then the arms from the originals off each unit will be moved back over to the new ones so they work properly. From there they'll use that key with the new tumblers to rekey the tumbler on the Roto-Pax. From there, that will leave me with 3 total keys including the key for the safe that I will keep separate for safety purposes in case somebody gets my keys or something.

After the locksmith appointment, truck will be taken over to my work's shop and my coworker will be doing my front regear and ARB locker and have it done by Sunday morning. I'll be coming back from Utah Sunday afternoon and picking it up Sunday night, so hopefully everything goes as planned!

Alright so I actually wound up getting to drive it. Leaving for my trip this afternoon, got lucky and the trans shop called this morning to inform me it was done. So I got a ride over to their shop with my boss and picked it up.

All I can say is literally....wow. It's amazing what a new transmission feels like. I started off easy and at lower speeds/rpm's it shifts so smooth you can hardly feel it shift. Throttle response is immensely better, I have better control over everything now. Also chirps the tires at about half throttle when taking off, previously I had to floor it to get them to chirp, in order to spin them I had to power brake it. Have yet to floor it from a complete stop, but I'd assume it'll light them up with ease now. I did get on it for a hot second and with the pedal down to the floor it shifts FIRM. Like it'll jolt your head back when it shifts.

Unfortunately my joyride was short lived as the trip from the trans shop to my work is only 3 miles, and I'm not taking it home tonight. Right next door to my work is the locksmith, so it's locked up tight for the night and the keys are already with them.

Sunday I'll get the chance to really put some miles on it.

Thanks man!

Alright, so update Sunday night through Tuesday night. Truck was great! I absolutely loved the transmission, and the front end being done made the clanking go away while turning from that broken axle shaft. Truck actually felt like it gained a lot of power from the trans swap, which in reality just meant what power it had was being utilized and put down better than before due to the trans problem that’s been happening. The only issues that arose over the weekend was my front ARB cover for the diff. Somewhere along the way of being a display cover and the box and hardware being shoved in the corner of a shelf in the back room, it appears the drain plug was swapped for something else and both does not quite properly fit in the hole, also threads are a different pitch all together. So my stock cover got put back on for now, and I called ARB on Monday and received the drain plug for it yesterday. This weekend it might be going in for the 500 mile check, which at that point the cover will be installed. I was super excited to get the 500 mile check done, as I was wanting to get out Sunday and really test the gears, lockers, and start getting flexy with the suspension. But that might not be happening now.

Now…onto yesterday morning/today. I am BEYOND fuming and livid. Yesterday morning everything started off normal pulling out of my neighborhood. The second I got out onto the main road, the truck wouldn’t shift into 2nd. I had to run it all the way up to 4k before it would kick in. After shifting into 2nd, 3rd and OD were normal, no issues. I started playing with it while driving, and found if I let off the gas around 25-30 it’ll shift just fine. If I let off before that speed, it’ll shift, then down shift back to 1st and run up to again 3-3500, then I either have to go to 4k or get it up to speed at 25/30 and let off. I wound up detouring to the interstate and hopping on, once cruising it was completely normal. Give it some gas and it down shifted to 3rd, back to od, 50-60 pulls it was doing great.

So I called the trans shop and wound up dropping the truck off. I told him upon drop off that I wanted him to pull the pan and inspect everything, along with a test drive. So I wait a few hours and he finally calls and tells me 2nd gear band has snapped, and that it’s skipping 2nd gear and going straight to 3rd. Now of course my distributor only carries the Monster full rebuild kits in stock, NOT replacement parts. So I had them dig and found the soonest I can replacement parts from them is 3-4 days out, and I didn’t even know what exactly needed replaced as it would require a tear down of the transmission again.

So…I walked my happy ass 4 miles over to the shop after work and picked up the truck as I had no other ride home. Got in the truck, and took off. I started really trying it out, and found a problem in my mechanic’s theory….either the Monster kit added another gear….or I have 2nd gear. If I drive super slow then it’ll shift normal. 2nd. 3rd. OD. If I get on it slightly, it acts up going into 2nd. If I get on it pretty hard, it’ll run through all 4 gears completely normal and get up to that 75-80 on the interstate with ease. Also, if I manually shift it 1st to 2nd, it does the same thing…but it shifts into 2nd gear. Then if I move to drive it shifts to 3rd, then after 45ish it kicks into OD. Now last night while driving it, I decided to full on floor it to see what it would do, and my heart sunk. It did the same thing as before the rebuild, which is not catching gear. Basically it kicks out of gear and red lines, let off the gas and it shifts into 2nd and continues on. Beyond pissed as that was one of the main problems I was having when climbing passes at 65-70mph.

Now what ****** me off the most is after I was told 2nd gear hand gone out, I started looking up symptoms for a snapped band. Basically either I’m 1 out of hundreds, or something else is up. I also called my co-worker last night who’s slightly familiar with transmissions, and he told me the same thing I had been reading. Snapped bands will do at least one, if not both of these two things. 1) Will not shift into the gear with the band snapped. Period. Will not do it. So I shouldn’t have 2nd gear. 2) Depending on the issues, a transmission with a snapped band will not shift past that gear with the issues. So basically I technically shouldn’t be able to shift OUT of 1st gear. This morning I was supposed to head over early with my co-worker and together we were going to drop the pan and see what’s truly going on, as I don’t believe the transmission shop did anything short of drive it and give me some ****** diagnose. Unfortunately he ran into issues getting in early this morning, so either tonight after work, or maybe this weekend when we do my 500 mile check we’ll do it then. Right now I’m not as worried about driving it, as the only real issue is I have to get up to about 25mph and let off, let it shift and ease back onto it. According to my co-worker he thinks the bolt for the band just backed out a little bit and it’s allowing it to slip, which is obviously easily repaired.

So, I’m going to push to get another 200 miles on the truck between today and tomorrow, so Saturday I can get the trans checked, 500 mile check done, get the ARB cover on, throw the fuse back in for the ARB compressor and get out and see what I can break out on some nasty trails.

So update on all this. We never got the 500 mile check done, instead my coworker took my truck Friday during work hours and tore into the transmission a little bit. We're not sure what it was exactly, but it wasn't a broken band. The fluid in it was burnt pretty bad, so either the bands were slipping or a clutch pack is fried. Either way, Monster covered their end of the deal better than expected. They told me to order in a full rebuild kit again from my distributor, and then issued me an RMA. So once I have the current rebuild kit pulled out, I can box it all back up and send it in for my refund. My boss talked to the guy at the transmission shop, who's going to redo the whole thing again for no charge.

So I dropped the truck off Tuesday to get the trans rebuilt. He called in yesterday and informed me of something exciting, but a little frustrating that neither HE nor my co-workers ever said anything about.

I was told by my coworker who installed my lift kit that the front drive shaft hits the exhaust at full droop, but it “wasn’t that bad” according to him. Well, the guy at the transmission shop called me asking if I wanted to fix the exhaust for the front axle, to which I kindly declined…until he told me that it’s limiting my full droop by almost 6” of travel. Of course I had already taken my lunch, couldn’t get away, blah blah blah to go see it. So I called my boss who was out and had him swing by, and according to him it is true. The Flowmaster Y pipe tucks up higher than the stock exhaust, so the front shaft only has about 3” below it and the exhaust when sitting level on the ground. If you lift the truck on the hoist, the truck lifts up about 5” before the driveshaft hits the exhaust and the axle starts climbing. With the shaft out, they can lift the truck about 11-12” before the axle comes off the ground, in fact before the front axle lifted before the rear axle, and now the rear axle lifts off the ground about 2” before the front axle comes up.

So this second trans rebuild is gonna run me about $300 and it’s just for the exhaust. They’re going to remove the Y pipe all together, cut the high flow cat and run all new 3” piping back and put the cat in with the new piping, along with the O2 sensors and fun stuff.

So, basically all the flexy pictures and jazz that I’ve been doing is only about half of what it’s really capable of. It pushed me back maybe another day before getting the truck back, instead of being done today it’ll be done fairly early tomorrow.

This Saturday I'll do the 500 mile check on the front axle myself, as watching my coworker do the rear has taught me what to look for. I'll also put the fuse back in for the compressor and get it out and stretch it's legs either Saturday after work, or Sunday after church, or if I can swing it Monday after a BBQ.

Next post is a continuation of this post.

Not sure if I've mentioned it here, but I've made plans and have about 15 other guys with Jeeps planning on coming down with me August 18th-21st to run the Rubicon trail. We'll be camping Thursday night at Loon Lake staging area, camping Friday night on the trail at Buck Island Lake, completing the trail Saturday and either heading back to Idaho Saturday into Sunday morning, or camping back at Loon Lake and leaving Sunday for a late Sunday arrival. I've also marked myself out for a late start on the following Monday in case we pull in late, as I hope to camp out once again Saturday at Loon Lake again just to unwind from the trip before loading up and heading on a 8 hour drive, not to mention it's unknown what time I'll complete the trail on Saturday of if we even do. Might take another day and camp out near the end again. We’ll see.

With camping 2 or 3 possible nights, I want get the ball rolling on the safari shell. I've been browsing around at different options, companies, and things I'd like and things I'll probably never use.

Now, onto the next step. For those who don’t like to read a ton this will be all future info and a source for me in the future, so a lot of wording is coming here.

At this point, I'm fairly certain I'm going with Front Runner and doing their canopy rack instead of a full length or ARB system. It'll be shorter than I initially planned, but with the camper shell I'll have plenty of room in the back of the truck for gear storage, leaving the rack available for the roof top tent.

Parts breakdown of what I want, what's in bold will be the required items I want for this trip, the rest can come at a later date for budgeting reasons.

KRCA003T Slimline II 4'x7' Canopy Rack

The price on this is steeper than majority of the other racks I've looked at, but the accessories for these guys is pretty much endless, not to mention the prices on the accessories are cheaper than majority of the others which offsets the cost of them. Plus it's more versatile, it's a flat style that can haul canoes, snowboards, wakeboards, whatever I want. Then I can buy the Expedition rail kits to turn it into a basket if I ever wanted to.

pick-up-truck-canopy-trailer-roof-cargo-rack-kit-1345mm-w-x-2166mm-l-front-runner-slimline-ii-KRCA003T-3.jpg

TENT031 Roof Top Tent & TBMK004 TALL MOUNTS

Includes the mattress and everything. Looks pretty fancy, and sets up pretty easy. The tall mounts will elevate the tent high enough to allow accessories to be mounted to the rack, such as the awnings and other items.

front-runner-roof-top-tent-TENT031-1.jpg

TENT032 SHOWER SKIRT (ANNEX)

This connects to the bottom of the pop up tent. I’ll have the tent flipping off the rear of the truck rather than the sides, so this annex will cover the window on the shell along with keep the rear of the truck dry from the elements considering I no longer have a sealed rear end without the tailgate. This means I can leave the tiregate flipped open for supplies or whatever and not have to worry about locking the truck up for the night. Also, with 2 awnings which will be explained below, I can run one off each side of the truck this way with the tent going backwards, along with have coverage for anyone who might sleep in the back of the truck if that event were to ever arise.

front-runner-feather-lite-roof-top-tent-shower-skirt-TENT032-1.jpg

RRAC028 SHOWER ARM & SHOW004 SOLAR SHOWER

Shower arm attaches to the side of the rack and extends the arm outwards. From there you can hang a portable shower off the arm. The shower itself holds 5 gallons of water, which I can hang off the side of the rack to absorb and warm the water up, then hang it off the shower arm inside the annex for myself or anyone else who wants to shower while camping or extended off road trips. The window on the shell will have to be down for this to work, but window down and TireGate open with clothes or whatever right there will work just fine.

front-runner-rack-mount-shower-arm-RRAC028-4.jpg

RRAC012 GALVANIZED TIE DOWN ANCHORS

I didn’t bold this one as it will be split up. I plan to order two pairs so I can have them for the trip, later on I plan to order 3 more for a total of 5 sets. Two across the front/back, and 3 going down each side of the rack. For now 2 pair can strap down everything I need for this upcoming trip as it will only be a few of us loaded in my truck, the bed will suffice for all of our gear.

front-runner-galvanised-tie-down-rings-RRAC012-1.jpg

The rest of this will all be coming at a later date.

TENT043 EASY OUT 2M AWNING

Attached to either driver or passenger side of the truck, 2M (6 feet) wide. Will accommodate walls listed right below.

front-runner-easy-out-awning-2m-TENT043-6.jpg

TENT049 2M AWNING WALLS

Can be used as a second location for people to sleep, or a quicker place to get to in order to avoid weather without having to climb the ladder and stay huddled down in the tent.

front-runner-easy-out-awning-2m-walls-TENT049-1.jpg

TENT036 EASY OUT 2.5M AWNING

Attached to the opposite side of the 2m awning, this one is 2.5M or 9 feet wide. Will accommodate the mosquito room below.

front-runner-easy-out-awning-2-5m-TENT036-11.jpg

TENT039 2.5 AWNING MOSQUITO ROOM

Would be great for putting the pop up table for eating and keeping bugs out of the food. Also good for those who want to sit and relax and not be eaten by whatever kind of bug is around the area.

front-runner-easy-out-awning-mosquito-net-TENT039-1.jpg

That is all the structural major stuff. The rest of the items I want for the rack are petty stuff. They have 2 different tables that have sliders that connect underneath the rack, keeping the table between the bottom of the rack and the top of the camper shell. One table is a prep table that’s narrow, the other is a full on camping table that is the same width, but wide enough to hold about 4 dinner plates.

At this point with the rack I do not plan on doing any lighting wise with it. The camper shell with have a pair of flush mount Rigid Dually Diffused lights on each side, that should be plenty of light to illuminate the awnings. I’m thinking inside the camper shell I’ll set some lights up so we can get the interior of the bed lit up, which with the TireGate being somewhat open and the rear window of the shell opened up should illuminate the annex as well. I also have the lights on the N-Fab rear runner that I’m going to wire to a switch that I can light up the annex with as well.

Now, depending on budgeting, this is the main plan for now. Rack, tent, annex, tie downs, etc. If something else arises with needing money, as I’ve completely blown my entire budget for like the next 6 months over these past few weeks with everything, I MIGHT go with just the 2M awning and walls and use those for this trip. Basically I’d buy the mounts that would normally go on the rack and just mount them to the side of the camper shell, then in the future when I do get the Front Runner roof rack I’ll either cap the holes off with plugs or find something else to mount there. Right now the stuff I have marked I have within an allowed budget as my wife really wants to go on this trip with me, but these past few months have proven to me that I can’t always rely on everything going as planned.

Alright, got the truck picked up last night after work. All is good, drives like it did after it was first rebuilt. The exhaust modification seemed to help a ton. This rock it would normally tuck the rear tire hard on the passenger rear, and at times seem like it wanted to teeter and pickup the drivers rear tire. Now the passenger isn't tucked near as hard, nor is it even close to picking up the driver rear. Mission accomplished.

Never got the 500 mile check done, wound up having to run some errands this morning before heading into work. I'll get it done tonight for sure though. Tonight I'll be heading into the shop to install the winch into the bumper, then might swing out and grab the camper shell from my parents house and start the prep for paint on that.

After talking to the wife over the past few days, I've decided I'm going to hold off on the rack itself and pop up tent. After we watched videos on the Rubicon, I'm thinking the rack and roof top tent might get damaged going between rocks. So, Tuesday I'm going to order in the 2M awning and walls. I'll start with seeing if I can get the awning just attached to the shell itself. If not, then I'll pickup a cheap rack and go that route for right now. Awning will go into the bed of the truck while on the trail, I'm going to try to make it as easy as possible for install with just some bolts and my drill. That way when it comes time to setup camp, it's only a 5 minute install before setting up the awning.

Now, onto a new problem. I noticed a leaking shock a while back, so I got a warranty replacement from BDS. Well, I've caught the problem. It appears the reason my front shocks keep leaking is because they keep getting smashed....by the coil bucket. So for now I'm going to go ahead and warranty exchange them out again, only this time I'm going to do some cross referencing and find some 2" body shocks that are similar in length and valved similar to get me by. When I install the Fox remote resi's once they're rebuilt and anodized red/black, I'm either going to try to modify the mounts to get the shocks further away from the coil bucket, or I'll notch the bucket. Last thing I want to do is smash one of these Fox shocks, as they're technically discontinued and the body's wouldn't be available to replace.

So update from this last weekend.

First off, I was a complete and ******* idiot. Went and did the 500 mile check on the front axle, after inspecting it I went to grab the ARB cover that's been in the backseat of the truck for months now just to realize I took it out earlier last week when I got the truck washed. So stock cover went back on, instead of using nice oil I used some 80/90 we had on the shelf. I'll do the cover in the near future and when I do that I'll refill with some Amsoil.

Onto other stuff now. I didn't get time to do the shocks. Instead I installed the winch and rewired everything for the Rigid Dually's in the bumper. Everything is done. Lights were fairly easy, for the most part it was making another harness for the SAE's to tie into the factory harness, then ripping apart the harness that was already there, removing the relay and wiring up the spots to the CTS2. Simple, but time consuming.

The winch was a royal pain. I had to build some new brackets for the controller to fit on top of the winch. I got it to clear the bumper, but I'm thinking I MIGHT do it again and relocate the box behind the grille like I should have in the first place. The wireless controller works fine, but if I ever have a failure or I need to use the wired controller, it's a real pain in the ass to get it to plug into the control box. The free spool luckily is easy to access through either the holes in the bumper, or real easy with the hood/grille open.

Anywho, after getting the winch in, I loosened up the brackets on the bumper and threw it on, then got it finally adjusted and positioned correctly on the truck. Really helped it out, looks a lot better.

I was liking that tent, was looking for a Holiday Inn Express sign somewhere and a cable TV outlet-----as usual, great work and continued write up.

3 updates.

Let me start this off by saying I have mixed emotions for this first part. I've been working to brand NightMares Off Road and trying to get the ball rolling on starting up a business, but between work and bills, a family with 3 little kids, I'm having a rough time.

With that said, I'm disappointed, but happy at this part. My truck's getting branded with Bucks, my current job. Long story short, my coworker mauled my boss’s 2013 JK while out on a trail on Memorial Day. He snapped the sector shaft out of the steering box, broke the plug welds on the rear axle which in turned caused the pumpkin to rotate on the axle tubes, which took out the custom Tom Woods drive shaft. To add insult to injury, he also “grazed” some rocks and smashed in the quarter panel of the Jeep. The outcome of this has resulted in my truck being the display truck for the Idaho X Rocks event this coming weekend. In a rush, I had to design and have some decals printed for the side of my truck, which is where the disappointment comes in. My boss paid for the lettering, but the fact is I’ve been working on a half wrap which will require me to strip the truck from everything it has now. So, for this summer (unfortunately including the Rubicon) I’ll have my current setup on the truck until this fall when the events die down.

Second update is suspension updates. Before the exhaust was repaired I had plenty of slack on everything. Well, today for some fun, we decided to flex the truck out with the forklift. I'm now limited by the brake lines and vacuum line on the actuator. Actuator is not a problem, as hopefully in the next few weeks I'll get the time to throw in that posi-lok which will give me more than enough slack for that. Brake lines are another problem though, so I went ahead and called our local hose guy and I should have some within the next few days to go in.

Third update is regarding the Rubicon trip. I keep jumping around on what tent or awning to purchase, and I’ve decided to make a transition again. Reason being is that Tepui Tents can get me everything I want at not only a cheaper price, but a better and easier setup for my situation.

1st is the tent. The Autana Sky is designed to come off the back of the vehicle, and the included annex has an opening for access to the rear of the vehicle. The tent itself also has an extended canopy entrance, which basically means when you climb the latter you’re not climbing into the side of the tent, but rather in from the bottom of it (pics will explain). With the extended canopy and supplied annex also means more "indoor" space. And, the annex has a PVC solid floor that can be removed for the open ground below (for showers or whatever), but can stay down for another 2-3 people to sleep in.

As for the awning, they don’t list it on their site which is the reason I called, but they have a photo that caught my attention. Basically it's separate room from the awning that attaches to the outer part of it. After talking to them, they discontinued it as they were having some issues with it, but currently they can custom build the enclosure depending on width of the awning, which will be the 6' one.

Basically what this does is leave one side of the truck open, which means I no longer need the same space as an RV to fully setup camp. I’ll have the tent positioned off the back as designed, the awning off probably the drivers side, the walls attached to the outside of the awning, then if needed I can put the mosquito net in the awning and make it a full setup.

Here’s some pictures of the ideas behind this.

38" off the ground. Once i get the brake lines installed and shocks swapped I'll get a little more in the front as well

Also added the decals after work. Gonna pull the nightmares off that bed and go bigger and call it good. Turned out a lot better than i thought it would

I feel like I always come to this thread and just like posts on this fantastic truck while you write novels and share all your thoughts and plans. This, to me, is the most active and thought out truck build on this forum. Everything you do to it has a purpose and plan and it gets used like it should.

The tent looks like an awesome idea. I love those type of tents and I like the "porch" and "room" that go along with it. The pictures you posted look perfect especially if you will be carrying quite a few things and will have the family with you. Do they come with a foam pad or something already to sleep on?

The bumper looks great and the winch will be useful to have especially since you use your truck quite often as a recovery vehicle. I love the red pro link hook you put on there. Do you have a night picture with all your lights on? That would be cool to see.

Can the coil buckets be fixed with a little grinding or will it have to be something a bit more involved? Big flex problems.

Lastly, are you getting your new brake lines in stainless or just regular lines. Stainless would be awesome!

Thanks for the kick ass thread man and keep the updates coming!
