Non touch screen to touch screen help please!

So I have a 2011 ram outdoors men with the regular radio non touch, but my buddy is selling a touch deck out of a 2012 I'm wondering if this is just a straight swap or is it not worth the hassle?

Is it a oem or aftermarket unit? Oem will be a direct plug and play swap. Aftermarket will take a little modification to get it to fit.

It's oem. So I don't need no adapters or wiring anything?! Thanks a million!!

No adapters but there is a second module if its and RBZ to use the uconnect functions. I've done the swap its easy.

Possibly, it the radio has "Antitheft" stamped in the lower left corner by the volume knob, you will need the unlock code. If you don't have the code, it can be obtained from the dealer, but you'll need the vin of the vehicle it came out of.

Yep what was said above I forgot that I had the unlock code provided to me when the swap was done.

Check on the back of the headunit. I'm trying to sell one and Chrysler said the unlock code is written on the back. Let me know if it works please.
