Octane question for DiabloSport Trinity users

So- I usually run one of the 87 tunes, unless I'd really like to burn up the petrol, which is my dilemma- with the 93 octane gas at about 50-60 cents a gallon higher, is there an additive to raise my octane in the tank, maybe 1/2 tank or so- that will allow me to switch to the 93 tune?

short version: can I raise my octane in the tank without a full fill up?

Think you would pay more for additive than the difference in 87 and 93.

Most octane boost's "ratings" are misleading. If they state they will raise octane by 5 points, it means from 87.0 to 87.5, not 87 to 92 (10% of what it sounds like). 1 "point"= .1, not 1.0 on the scale we're most familiar with.

Further, the more they "boost", the more Toluene they may contain which is just awful for your engine, and particularly your cat(ilytic converter). Then there's the cost.
You'd be much farther ahead to run your tank as low as you dare of 87, and fill it with 93 than try to boost it from 87.

I didn't think there's be some 'magic bullet' to doing it.
Just wanted some back up on that I guess.
