Idk this is what all the Mopar filters come out looking like on the wife's 2017 GC as well as the first one that came out of her 2020 GC. This is the first filter out of the 2020 and has about 1000 miles on it. When I let them go 5000+ the pleats are more wavy.I have changed no less than 30 oil changes on 3.6L using mopar filters and never had one come out twisted like that.

that does not look anything about the one I commented on.
I slacked on my last oil change, 12000 km is the count down on the 3.6, I let mine go over 15000km and it didn't look anything like that twisted filter. That second pic looks like what the 3.6 filter looks like after an oil change....
Thanks for the link, but a dead end as the locations listed sell a few Redline products, like water wetter and the like, but not 5w30 oil.
I will search for gotexhaust.

The ones I have used to open aircraft oil filters was a different design than the one that is linked to. It has been a while but I don't think it was that expensive.Yeah I think I paid $45 for it a few years ago which I thought wasn't bad but $74 is a bit steep.
I wonder if you could find a big pipe cutter that would fit the oil filter...

What's the downside of the pleats being wavy.
FWIW had a discussion with a Royal Purple engineer last week.
He stated the 20-820 was designed for pre-EPS 2012 Rams.
10-48 for EPS 5.7 engines and the 20-500 is the same exact diameter/fitting but 1.05” longer for even more extended use. Just installed with plenty of clearance, hope this helps as the 10-48 may not be as readily available for some.
Did RP engineer mention if 20-500 has same pressure relief range as 10-48, just longer?
Great info thanks!FWIW had a discussion with a Royal Purple engineer last week.
