Hi everyone. I did an led conversion on my ram and some how when I had it out broke my oil gauge. Does anyone have any experience with repairing these? Or any ideas? I was thinking of installing another exterior gauge out of the way so I can just keep an eye on my oil pressure from time to time. I know that my sending unit has three wires. A 5 volt ref a ground and a signal. Couldn't I just jump the factory sender and run it to a gauge? Again kinda thinking out loud I've never installed a gauge before so I'm not sure how they come.any feed back is appreciated.

Iowa guess my real question now that I've done some research is, if I want to run an external oil gauge that's electric can I just tap the signal wire on my existing sending unit instead of running a second sender

If you plan on using an aftermarket gauge, get a mechanical, more accurate. Run a T off of the sending unit.
