I would think with your expertise you could submit a bill for labor and parts that were the actual costs to repair your own vehicle. You have documented proof of sloppy, inept work by the dealer grease monkeys. They aren't techs by any sense of the word. I had a similar situation with my GM vehicle thirty years ago and I replaced the engine with a crate engine I installed myself at the curb outside my apt. at the time. (Crate engine was purchased from another dealer as well.)

Replaced an engine along side a curb outside your apartment hahahahahahah. Sounds like fun times!

Well my oil pressure issue is fixed.
Dealership wouldn’t help at all. So I fixed it. New oil pump and cooler. Now running 55psi@1500 rpm and 33 psi at idle. If the try to void my warranty they will have a big fight on there hands. I’m a licensed diesel mechanic and run my own shop. Have lots of pictures and I’m keeping all the old parts for proof.

I could clearly see where something went through the pump. And there was a bunch of debris on the suction screen. It amazes me Technitians at a dealer did that crappy of a job when they changed me engine last year
I just came across my oil pump on my way to the cam, it was late but it looked to me like an oil pump change required the same disassembly as a can swap, up to the timing chain anyway and if that's the case you should definitely submit a bill to the dealership. You were under warranty, they failed to respond, you saved them a lot more then 14hrs labor and pump cost.

I think I would get a huge feeling of satisfaction depositing a check like that. :)

Job well done on the fix!

Op-Amsoil isn’t recommending their oil filters for the 5.7 or 6.4 anymore. They only recommend Wix on their site now for these applications. After a call to product service I was told there is a problem with them and loading up too quick. I took an Ea15k50 off and replaced it with a Fram titanium (only a filter change not the oil) on my 5.7 after just 900 miles on the filter and it sounds much better and pressure is higher. Just a heads up

I was using one of these filters and had lower pressure than normal (Using Amsoil & Amsoil Filter). I just changed oil (Amsoil & Wix XP filter) and BOOM!!! Back to 55PSI!!
