Checking fit of the Mini D2S projector. The one part of the projector housing hits the reflector. It looks like it is level, but I don't know if I would have to notch out the headlight reflector to make it perfect.

I used a Dremel with a small sanding drum and opened up the hole at the back of the reflector to make the threaded shaft of the projector to fit through. Took my time and didn't rush it. Only a small amount of material removed at a time and checked when it would fit.

The Gatling Gun 1.0 shrouds are going to have to be trimmed to fit....a lot. The Gatling Gun shrouds look like they just push on over the top of the projector. I guess they just get put in place with adhesive.

Any tips or tricks to ensure a good fit?

I was wondering if I should keep it halogen in the high beam or look at the Profile Hi-Lens for a high beam setup. It may be a bit big for the reflector though. Has a 3 inch diameter, would have to alter the hell out of a shroud to make one fit.

I don't have anything to add but curious if you've made progress?

Yup, started a thread in the DIY section showing what else I've done so far.

Get ready to cut ALOT off the shrouds. Go slow, little by little. You can always sand more off, but cant add any back. Nothing looks worse then shrouds that are over cut and leave a huge gap.

Heres a look at how much i had to cut off of the Apollo 3.0 Shrouds.

And heres trying to fit the "inside halo size" halo into the Apollo 3.0 after it was cut to fit the quad low beam, Its a 110mm halo. Definitely not fitting lmao!

As for the Profile Hi-Lens, they fit PERFECTLY into the highbeam of the quads. No need to dremel out the bulb hole either! They come with they own front cover, built into them, so you wont need a shroud on them. I just built a set of quads for my Ram and used the MLED in the Low and the HiLens in the high beam and heres what it looks like without a shroud.

P.S. Ignore the fingerprints, dust and exposed wires, these weren't sealed back up yet so they were still dirty.

Hope this helps you out. No way any size shroud will fit in the high beam area of the quads. You need to do ALOT of cutting to get them to fit the lowbeams and that spot is atleast 2x bigger than the high beam spot.
