You're going to love that AF sub!
I love the looks of it
Loving your equipment choices Brad. If I were to re-do my setup or future setup, it would be identical...maybe not the sub but 100% of the rest. Simple and sweet!

Have you heard one? Literally have not read one review or impression of it. Jumped in this one blind. Looking at its designers, I have pretty high expectations.
Yes I have. My friend Jerry Niebur just became a AF rep about 6 months ago. He did an AF install on his wife's Honda Pilot....I like their components alot FTR!
Now we are currently in the middle of installing three AF10's in his TSX.
They sound alot like the Esotar1200 but with much more output. It's a juicy subwoofer....you gonna likey
Got the windshield and 2 front windows tinted too. I see some de-chroming in the very near future
That looks really good. De-chroming the door trim is gonna be tricky... Any plans for that?
Please don't say plasti-dip, lol!
OMG... Just greased my shorts.
That's what I like to hear. I was hoping it would have the same output as 2-MKIVs and be nearly as transparent and musical. Thanks for the info.
Brad VERY nice setup! Both exterior and audio system. I too am ready to take a plunge into the AF realm and I'd also be doing it blind as I cannot find any reviews on that GB12. Initially I was going to run another set of 12w6v3's but I'd be right at max depth and the AF seems to give me everything the JL does with a tad shallower mounting depth.
I'm very interested to hear what you have to say about the GB12. What enclosure type / size are you planning on using?
Awesome awesome awesome thread! Guys like you and threads like this are exactly what make DIY forums great! The icing on the cake is that I'll be using very similar gear to what you ran in the truck in my own 2006 Ram 2500 Mega Cab. Pioneer 4v double din HU, active 3-way front stage with very similar stock locations, brand new Dyn MW170's I bought 10 years ago after being blown away by a set in an SQ car that was running those and a pair of ID horns. I to plan on running the mid in the stock dash location and was planning to put the tweeter at the bottom of the A-pillar angled as you did on the 3rd revision or was it the 4th, maybe the 5th LOL. Amps are Arc Audio 4150 x 2 and I was planning on a PS8 but you have me really looking at the Helix!
So seeing as you too are a mid-bass junkie, did you decide to go SI 65 solely to keep the stock baffle since you said you won't be keeping the Jeep long? What about a 6x9 seeing as it has the Sd of a 8" driver? I know you tried the ID XS69 but it was too deep, but man that things BANGS out some mid-bass. Ever think of maybe one of those CDT's?
Lastly about the AF DB12, I'm running a dual sealed 1.2ft (before displacement) enclosure behind the seat and was pretty set on w6v3's but man, I just can't help but think the DB12 will be as good with more output and "probably" more low end. How did you decide on this sub? Have you heard them before? - Sorry for the crazy long post. I've been here since 2012 and just read and read and read but THIS... THIS I had to post on LOL!

As far as the. SI mids, I had heard great things about them plus they should fit well in a 2-way setup. Never really looked into the 6x9 mids, never crossed my mind. So thanks for planting that seed. Lol. Lizardking, member here, runs the cdt 6x9 I believe and swears by them. I just like everything I've heard from SI, plus they can be ran at 2 ohm and are very shallow. (I have no idea, how much depth the jeep has). I saw these for a great price and felt I had to have them...
FYI, the AF will fit under the seat of a ram

Yeah man I've read the few reviews on them and everyone says they're bangin' w/some serious low end output. I'd be able to get some nice power to them at 2ohms too. Which reminds me, if my math is correct, you have 8 channels (6 if you're bridging to the TM65's) but just 4 speakers. Am I missing something? LOL whatchya got up your sleeve bro? (-:
Come on and get that gear in!
Lol.... No tricks. I actually have 9 channels.
