so, I've finally got the Lt's on and tuned .My questions is simple- I've decided to go with a cai(i use that acronym loosely) until my procharger is installed in June. Yes, i know-it's one of the first mods everyone does, but i didn't. I elected for the bigger mods first. what should i run? s&b, k&n, etc..I just need her to get a little more air(the stock box isn't that restrictive to begin with). please advise, as always-thanks
jb
edited- i'm leaning towards the k&n. debating the polished metal one(i'm thinking heat soak) or the plastic. any opinions on the inlet pipe being polished metal as apposed to cooler plastic? thanks
2014 regular cab Express, 5.7, 6spd, 3:92 lsd, true duals, and tuned:)

I'm the .01% that is running the Air Raid.

I read an article in which they tried out several different brands of CAIs in a 5.7 Hemi Challenger or Charger, I don't remember which. But the Air Raid made the most HP, and the second most torque . I figured a there can't be too much difference in the car, and truck engine. So the Air Raid is what I bought. Besides, I have one in my Mustang, and it does real well.

However the Vararam was not in the test. But it seems the guys that have them, like the Vararam very well, also.

In all honesty, if you are only 3 months away from installing a Procharger, I don't think you should spend any money on an intake right now. You will not be able to use the new intake with your supercharger, so you are going to have to get rid of it in a few months.

I would take that intake money and put it towards a tq converter instead.

i've decided to go with the s&b. a buddy of mine will buy it from me when the procharger is being installed. is there much or any difference in the s&b compared to the oem box? any noticeable performance gains or just a change in sound? the oem unit appears to do the same thing, but the s&b has a bigger filter element. someone sell me on the s&b. tell me pro's and con's
thanks
jb:)
