Has anyone had an issue swapping the gauge cluster and having the P (for park) on the gauge cluster flashing? I’ve had the cluster programmed twice to my vin by two people and it’s still flashing. All the other gear indicators work normally. Also when I put back in my original cluster it’s fine.

Did you ever find out what caused this or how to fix it? Mines doing it to after a cluster swap.

Bumping again. Anyone know the fix for this?
This happens when you put the newer speedometers in earlier trucks. I'm not sure if there is any way to stop it. It has happened to several people and to the best of my knowledge there is no fix. I put a 2018 cluster in my 2014 and it did the same thing. I installed a 13 speedo and its fine. I also tested a 15 and it worked fine. I'm not sure which years other than the 2018 do it in the earlier trucks but I'm pretty sure the 13 to 16 are fine. Remember if your truck is a 13 you need a 13 speedometer in order for the TPMS to work but the 13 speedo will work in the 14.

Thats correct theres no fix that ive heard of but im pretty sure it doesnt hurt anything. I too have a 14 with an 18 cluster with the blinking P been that way for awhile now with no problems thus far. Had a 15 cluster with no problems but wanted my cluster to say sport when i cranked it so ill live with it. Besides i dont keep her in park very long any how.

I had this happen when swapping a 17 gas cluster into my 13 diesel. I was told it was because of the transmission differences, 8 speed vs 6 etc. It was kind of annoying but ran fine. Switched to a 13 gas cluster and it went away, but so did half my evic gauges. Apparently, the 13 diesel clusters are different but i'm not sure. Now i'm gonna try a 14-16. At some point it will be cheaper for me to buy a crashed truck and change all the harnesses lol
