I have been fighting and chasing this for a while. Partially due to weather since I have to work outside. Recently had this code pop up so I replaced the sensor. Okay for a bit but the code did return. This time I got a Mopar sensor knowing sometimes these trucks are finicky. Code still there and absolutely not erase. Even after battery being disconnected for weeks. Started the diagnostic process which led to a faulty PCM. Ordered a PCM which took forever to arrive and get it installed only to have the code return. I also ran two new wires from the sensor to the PCM. After many hours of cussing and banging my head on the wall, I decided to try another sensor just for the hell of it. Got that installed and wouldn’t you know it she’s working like a champ. I had incorrectly assumed a brand new Mopar sensor would not fail off the shelf. I have seen many parts fail directly off the shelf (including a short block). Just goes to show, don’t skip the easiest and most cost effective option because you have already “fixed” it.
