So my truck kept throwing me this P26AB for the last couples of months and it got to the point it was now everyday. Ordered the OEM part (52014892AC) some hose clamps and did the job in 15 minutes.

I used the video below to guide me, but instead of removing the bracket, I simply unclipped the module from the bracket and since I replaced the factory airbox for an S&B CAI, I had direct access to the module.

Now, the part I removed had the exact same part# (52014892AC), but I hope it's a new revision because I'm afraid I'll have to replace it again in the future.

Here's the problem, there's not much grease on the worm wheel shaft and as you can see in the pictures the plastic on plastic friction caused premature wear on the shaft creating plastic dust. Not sure if it's the dust on the contacts or the wobbly shaft that cause the CEL, but it's not what I was expecting (water ingress)

Thank you very much for posting this. I've read plenty of threads with others who were affected by this, but haven't seen anyone actually dive into the fix. Not a huge fan that it's a $180 part, but when I take my 2015 in to have the THREE incomplete recalls handled I'll try to get this one covered. Though I'm sure it won't be.
