I found by adding hand controls to my PW, that the pedal response on the adjustable hand direct link that was added, acts similarly to the pedal commander. The acceleration seems to go directly into the same part of the PCM, and theirby, increase response times in the lower RPMs. I also feel, in my 8spd, the down shift points better. For acceleration the truck will lunge forward as soon as I pull back on the accelerator, sometimes resulting in a surprising tire spin, watch our for the back end kicking out to the right, or , the dry pavement chirp. When slowing down, being able to recgonize when the down shift is about to occur by the tone of the rpm drone. Overall it makes the driving experience more fun and exciting while getting better control thru the PCM. What is actually happening on my installed accelerator , as in the pedal commander, Is the devise Is more capable of sending larger or smaller voltage at different points of the accelerator position. This makes the driver feel the points of the accelerator differently than the factory settings for voltage throught the acceleration range.
