I have used Super Tech 5w20 and a Fram Ultra Synthetic filter at every oil change since 9,000 miles. I'm at 61k miles at present. Grabbing oil for this last oil change, I noticed the Pennzoil 5w-30 Euro oil on the shelf. I was intrigued by the 500k mile guarantee against oil related engine failure if you began using the oil prior to 75k miles. Anyone running the Pennzoil 5w-30 Euro for any period of time and have any feedback on performance or like/dislike? Researching the oil, the biggest thing I saw was engine reported as quieter and idle PSI went from 28-30 to 49-50.

Why the euro specifically and does the warranty say use the right weight and spec? Wouldnt all the pennzoils have the same warranty? Euro usually means low saps which means low additives for diesel particulate filters. Here is a voa of that, see syn thread for more info on additives. Hemi specific oils have molybdenum. I would read fine print and see what the warranty on m3695 pennzoils have.

Ive never heard of the pennzoil 500k warranty but if its anything like the valvoline a while back its probably not worth the paper its printed on. imagine all the hoops you would have to jump thru to get a payout. no thanks!

that being said i am a long time user of pennzoil platinum euro oils. they greatly reduced the consumption of oil in my 06 hemi. i probably did close to 100k kms on various pennzoil platinum oils with the last 2 years of ownership on pp euro

have run the new truck on a steady diet of pp euro 5w40 and pp euro 0w30 in the winter since the very first oil change. now at 50k kms and the engine is silky smooth and quiet and does not consume any noticeable oil on the dipstick.
I will keep running these oils until they no longer go on sale 4 times a year because I refuse to pay full price for oil in Canada! its a scam at full price. plus the manufacturer mail in internet rebates keeps me happy got 2x 25$ gift cards for Amazon from pennzoil this year. used to be a real cheque in the mail but oh well
and if you are creative you can get more mail in rebates im sure!
good luck!

Well, experience always change people's opinion, before I run in my truck Shell Rotella full synthetic 5w20 oil, good quality oil, many cars run with it with no problems, but not my Ram,engine developed the tick, hemi tick,so after many different oils&filters, the tick killer was pennzoil semi synthetic 5w20 and mopar oil filter,so I still belive that Shell Rotella is a very good oil, but not necessarily for big V8 hemi engine.
