thanks for the help with this guys!
I travel all over the US and sometimes world for my job. So anything is possible.
I learned years ago from a heads cam,intake/ throttle body cai ****,on a vette that wound up nearly 10 k that I should’ve listened to the blower crowd because I wound up scrapping the vararam and NA cam later anyway. But it’s smart to upgrade the valvetrain and a alky **** kit for sure.My 19 5.7 is a quiet and happy sleeper so far with the procharger at 6 lbs,I know lower end is coming.Good LuckHello everyone, I have a 2013 ram 1500. I currently have a cold air intake and a Diablo i3 tuner. What would be the next steps I would take to increase performance that make the most sense logically to do? I was thinking about getting it cammed but want to hear thoughts on best cams/what the cost of it would end up being with labor. Relatively new to the truck world and learning about engines and what to do so talk to me like a young one. Thanks in advance.
for sure!If you’re ever up nearly Huntley, IL (near Elgin) let me know. I never know where I’ll be as I generally only get a 3 week heads up and even then things can change in a blink of an eye.
Strange how nobody said get rid of the restrictive Y pipe
Hi there this topic is exactly what I was looking for. It's a perfect guid for beginner or expert like some guys to share their experience and opinion. You have to change the y pipe when you put on the long tube headers.
2018 Ram 1500 Sport: Volante full cold air intake, programmer, JBA ceramic shorty headers ( trucks need torque ), complete Corsa exhaust. Do the headers and exhaust next.
Shorties wont lose but gonna gain anything what are your goals power wise? What do you use the truck for I see you daily it but do you tow? If so is it heavy?Hi there this topic is exactly what I was looking for. It's a perfect guid for beginner or expert like some guys to share their experience and opinion.
I have 2017 Ram 1500 5.7. I run 95-98 Octane (I live in UAE- Middle east) I started with MOPAR CAI as and CAT back, 3 weeks back got Diablo Modified PCM and T2, it was and is still a very painful and scary experience with one day everything is great and I am loving my truck to one day the truck would stop working and power off in the middle of the high way at 70+mph ( 4 times in the same trip - I would stop and re tune or try and put it back to stock) some days windows will not work ....OBD not reading check all fuses....
Last night got a Hemifever stage 1 with the ZF8 tune which I will try over the weekend- not ready to die yet!
I want the truck to be my daily driver as "sleeping cruiser" my ultimate goal is to get a whipple
If you guys can please rearrange the list. If possible I want to take it slow, 1-2 step at a time so I can space and spread my expenses. If it more cost effective then may be in "stages" as they say I will suck it up and do many things together.
One more thing about the headers, I would love to have long tube but I am worried about the noise as this is my daily driver. What will I lose with short header in term of performance or efficiency?
Thanks

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk all grammar errors brought you by fat fingers and auto correct.
@Elevated 2013 I am sure about the whipple .. I am doing this whole this to get thereThe exhaust will be a little louder with long tube headers and you will need a tune in order to make the most out of them. If you’re definitely going to add a supercharger then get long tube headers with 1 7/8” primaries. If you aren’t sure or probably won’t, then you won’t lose as much low end power by going with 1 3/4” primaries and you’ll still gain power overall. Sometimes doing stuff in stages makes more sense as some of the repairs overlap in terms of what needs to be taken apart or replaced at the same time and you’ll save money.
You can go straight to the blower if that's all you plan to tow and get a conservative tune to give you some buffer for things like crap gas. The blower alone will get you to those power levels. If you want to push that 500 mark I'd recommend a set of drop in forged pistons. Like I said that list can be reordered depending on ones needs and wants. But in my situation even though those are the power levels I want I tow heavy so a blower is a no go on stock internals.@Ohio5pt7 like you said earlier if I get close to 500 hp to the wheel I am more than happy.
I didn't start towing yet but the plan is to tow staff for the family over the weekend like a jet sky or 2 dirt bike or maximum a 2 seater dune buggy/ ATV
