When I was young and silly, I had a ford ranger as my fuel , tool , beater truck, and I removed the dash , hell of a job, I would never try that again
Is yours not leather?
If you just have to I would talk to auto body shop, they may know.
I am sure these are installed with everything installed on them and than the truck built around them I did a 67 crown imperial, and that was a pita. The auto radio on those will not come out , through the dash.

You don’t lose torque with long tube headers. They will adjust your power band to a higher rpm but you don’t lose any. Or, it’s negligible as you gain higher rpm horsepower so it offsets.

A custom tune should put you into the 13's at over a 100,throw a set of long tubes into the mix and you should be closer to the mid 13's at 102 or more

Lol. I wish! I have to use the 91+ octane because of my tune and I have the 32 gallon gas tank. It’s still over $60 for me to fill but that’s better than the $100 I was used to.

What brand of gas do you use and who did your tune?


I know the voices in my head aren’t real, but man, do they ever come up with some great ideas.

What brand of gas do you use? My tuner suggested BP or Shell. Since there is no BP I tried Shell. While he was dialing in my tune he could tell from the data logs when I had switched to Shell. Though I couldn't tell a difference in-between the brands, the logs showed the truck ran better on Shell.

I knew someone with a hellcat. He ran chevron in his car. After telling him about why I ran Shell he gave Shell a try and with his high performance engine he could tell a difference. Now thats all I use unless I have to use another brand because Shell isn't available.

Generally either Shell or Buckys. Depends on where I am headed when I need gas.

Nova John---If you're going too start doing some serious mod's including a custom tune, and then do some track racing I would strongly suggest you read about some of the problems people have with the driveshafts. I could save you lot of money in the long run.
