2006 Dodge Ram 2500hd 5.9 Cummins 2wd auto..
Went and got my oil changed today and the Tech pointed out that my radiator fluid is thick and pink..says i need a new radiator, says I have a internal transmission cooler and its leaking....

No discoloration on my transmission dipstick
No discoloration in the oil that we changed or on the dip stick

From what I can see and have researched my truck has a external transmission cooler, no lines that I can see going into my radiator...

Unless I,m totally wrong how could transmission fluid get into my Rad..

Any comments please..

The " pink stuff " which I believe is more Orange is HOAT coolant, normal for Chrysler.

Never heard of internal cooler. Lol

You'd know if tranny fluid was contaminating radiator, very uncommon.....trans fluid check ok ?

I believe the techs are use to seeing the green like Prestone and not the HOAT.

Sounds like you need to find a new place to get your oil change. The tech is clueless and if your coolant was thick, you have bigger problems than your tranny fluid miraculously finding it's way into the coolant system. In case you didn't already know, that large, flat cooler about halfway up the front of your radiator is your transmission cooler. The smaller one at the bottom is your power steering cooler.

I guess it would have helped if I had noticed you have a diesel. I'm not overly familiar with Cummins and this is the first time I've heard of that heat exchanger. Sounds interesting, but I wouldn't want one since the pictures I have found look like it is a single pass, counter flow heat exchanger using coolant. So I guess I have to retract my previous statement and suggest you drain some coolant from your radiator and compare it against fresh, clean coolant to reach your own conclusion.
