Just ordered my Toyo C/T's from Tire Buyer in 35 x 12.50. I still have about 60% tread left on the stock Duratracs but I just could not hold off any longer. With the recent snowfall we've had, it was enough of a selling point for me to justify buying new tires because I just wasn't all that impressed with the Duratracs in snow / icy conditions. The Goodyear Ultraterrains I had on my 1500 gave me more confidence than they Duratracs do on my Power Wagon. Hoping to get $200 out of the Duratracs from a Jeep guy out here.

I have a trip coming up that will have me driving through the Rockies on 12/23 and there's snow in the forecast for that day. Hoping to have these C/T's delivered by early next week and installed same day so I can have them before I leave!

EDIT: Just received my tracking number - supposed to be here by this Wednesday! NICE!

Also - I originally tried to order these through my local Discount Tire store and the gentleman said after calling Toyo, these C/T's are now on a 3-4 month backorder!

My first time dealing with them and so far I'm impressed.

Called and actually spoke to a person in customer service and they had a tracking number to me within 45 minutes of me placing the order.

Good stuff.

It's been snowing here, but it's dry powder due to its really cold being down to zero Fahrenheit and below. Drove the truck today with the Toyo C/T's just to our Post Office. Still nothing to report on the snow and ice tire capabilities due to it just blows off of the road making it dry pavement.

Tie Siding, Wyoming photo of Sunday morning with strong wind and at 6 degrees Fahrenheit. My son on his Ram 2500 runs the Toyo AT3 up there.

yes always nice actually talking to a person. a few months ago I ordered some Toyo at3 35x11.5-17 for my jeep and Discount tire said they were not available anywhere in the USA. I called Tirebuyer and the rep was able to find something like 100 in their warehouses. they have warehouses all over the country. I have used them several times and never had anything but fast good service at a price nobody could touch.

The C/T's will be fine for all seasons driving. They aren't a dedicated winter tire like the studded General Grabber Arctic set of tires that I run in the snowiest season on our car. They're for 45 degrees Fahrenheit and below temperatures.

Well, quick update on my whole tire order scenario...

Ordered from tirebuyer on 12/14 and they had me a Fedex tracking number within 45 minutes. Since they've been in Fedex's hands, this has been a disaster.

First, only 2 of the tires shipped, leaving 2 sitting at tirebuyer's warehouse in North Salt Lake. Those first 2 got to Colorado by Thursday 12/17, which is when the other 2 finally got picked up from North Salt Lake. Those last 2 got to Colorado on Saturday and were "placed on vehicle for delivery" until yesterday, which is when they were finally delivered to the installer. Now the 2 that were originally here early, are still waiting to be "placed on vehicle for delivery" and show "pending" on their status... Meaning I have no idea when they'll be here,,,

****** part is, I leave for CA tomorrow.... So I called the installer (BigO Tires) and they can get 2 in by the end of the day (despite being told by Discount Tire that they're on backorder for 3 months)... So, they're installing all 4 today, 2 of which were from my tirebuyer order, and 2 that they ordered for me at the drop of a hat.

TL;DR: Tirebuyer kicks ass at doing their part; Fedex sucks a rat ******; BigO Tires kicks ass too

@Gamedog Shipping anything this time of year is a **** show, covid has just made it exponentially worse.

Yeah, I definitely expected some sort of a shipping hurdle, but not to this degree. One thing I left out, is yesterday I tried to go pick them up from the facility they're being held in here in town and they said I couldn't.

Look I was in a dark place in my last post. I'm better now and am partially over it lol

I drove my Power Wagon over Vail Summit, Hoosier Pass, Wilkerson Pass, and over the Divide today in Colorado. Chain laws were in effect on Vail for cars and semi trucks. My Toyo C/T's gripped excellent on the already plowed highways, especially on the 8% grade of Hoosier. Outside temperature was 4 degrees Fahrenheit and the C/T's didn't harden up a bit.

MPG:Seem unchanged. Maybe even a hair better. Hard to tell as I got them only a few weeks before the lockdown.
Off road performance: If driving through my yard counts, then pretty good.
Wet performance: Seems fine
Highway comfort: My wife thinks they ride better than stock (I agree)
Snow/Ice: I live in Nashville, TN and we didn't get any snow this year
Lift or level Required: None
Tread life: Seems good so far (granted I have only a few hundred miles on them) :)

Ha!

We could have very well passed right by each other as I was westbound through Vail pass today at around 10:30 this morning, also running the freshly mounted CT's. Felt damn confident going through the same conditions as you, not a single slip up.

As it sits now right after checking in in St. George for the night...

I can mimic just about what you’ve posted: tire brand, size, performance so far, Snow they seem to great so far only 1 snowfall as of this post. Truck is 12 Power Wagon with stock 4:56’s mileage varies on pedal input. Muffler and resonator delete with a Magnaflow open chamber Y pipe feeding into the old Flowmaster dual 2 1/2” out American Thunder. Average 14.5-15 highway 9.5-11 in town. No lift, no rub after fender liner trim and pinch weld negotiations

I'll be heading back over the same route tomorrow (was totally unplanned) and will pass through both St George and Las Vegas on Friday (Christmas) on my way to Los Angeles. The C/T's will be rolling.

Nice. Hanging out with family in So Cal as well for the next few days.

Truck did great. Ready to slow things down a bit.
