Hey guys, I'm thinking on installing a procharger in my 2011 dodge ram has anybody installed it?.. Is it worth it? Is it easy to install your self? I'm getting charge for installation 1600 bucks ? What do u guys think?

Easily installed yourself with basic hand tools. If you buy the full kit then you will get the full tuning package as well and you're set. Installation takes about 6-8 hours if it's your first time and the only special tool you need is the clutch fan wrench (or a large crescent wrench and pry bar) and a fuel line disconnect tool that's available from the auto parts store for $15 for the metal scissor type.

I think $1,600 for install is insane! No, it's not a quick install, but damn!

Sadly the one local shop that specializes in superchargers is asking $10K to install and tune a Procharger kit, so $1600 is not a bad price compared to our local bend-u-over mod shop.

I figure if they are going to take responibility for that kind of mod 1600 isn't bad, the guys asking 10k now thats just insurance if they have to replace a motor. I'd still do it myself save it for a nice methanol injection system.
