I notice that these 4th gen trucks have drain plugs for diff fluid which is convenient. On my 3rd gen I had to crack open the case. I did like the idea of wiping the metal sludge of the magnet and giving the diff a cleaning, especially during the first break-in period. Am I overthinking this? Does anyone here still crack open the pumpkin to wipe innards clean? Also I used m1 fluid in the past and added the LS additive. I noticed recently that some bottles now say LS on the package. Does that mean the additive is already in the oil?
