In my 2016 1500 with a 5.7 I popped the radiator cap and looked in there with a light and the fins and flange appeared to have a very slight light brown film or coating. I got worried and drained the coolant down into a clear container , it was bright pink. From my understanding my truck should have the purple OAT not the pink HOAT. I popped the thermostat housing and pulled a pipe plug near the upper intake and that all seemed fine no buildup. Should I flush this pink stuff out? If not I’ll put the pink stuff back in. Does anyone else have this brown film. My truck has 52k miles and I’m the only owner.
