Radio Am Fm does not tune in

my AM and FM radio went completely dead; meaning, no sound, no channels, nothing...While my Sirius XM functions properly. Bluetooth works and there is sound but the AM and FM radio does not work or produce sound

Has anyone shortened the antenna that is mounted on the right fender ?
Or, has someone removed the radio & forgotten to reattach the antenna ?

no, it was out of nowhere, I turned on the car and it stopped tuning

If you don't even have static it sound like the receiver in the radio died? You could try pulling the radio fuse for an hour and see if that helps? (shot in the dark)

Corrosion Continuity for AM/FM stereo antenna can be resolved by pulling the Antenna and cleaning the corrosive material and spraying with a little WD-40 and putting back together. Worked for me!

symptoms, crackling on tuned stations, total loss of all sound and while doing a scan for channels just continued to scroll. 1 day it would work, next day nothing. Very frustrating 2 weeks till had time to work it out.
