I have a 2019 ram 1500 that I started having an issue that it wouldn't crank, when i hit the button it would click one time, thought I had a bad battery but I have a new battery in it, I can jump the truck off, any suggestions.

The ground for the starter on my '021 is near the starter and bell housing. The ground bolt wasn't tightened enough at the factory. Not an easy thing to find either, but you might find yours on the Hemi block. Maybe clean it up. Old trick: Turn on headlights to put a load in place. Try to start it and see if the lights go dark, possibly showing a grounding issue.

If it's jumping fine off another truck using the battery terminals themselves (+ to +, - to -) it is a bad battery, regardless if new or not. If you are jumping from positive to positive and using the engine (or other metal surface) for the ground then you have a bad ground.

the battery I removed was good, i had it tested and they said the battery was good but replaced it anyway and when I would jump it of it would be battery post to battery post and they are all clean but my starter gets its ground from where it mounts to the vehicle no grounding cable but I'm going to look at my connections at the starter as well.
