Just bought a 2000 Ram 3500 Dually for use in traveling the southeast buying antique tractors. In order to find the places, I want to install an in-dash NAVIGATION / RADIO system so we'll be able to find the places with ease. It'll also have the bluetooth for the phones so talking and driving will be safer and easier (although the loud Cummins might create an issue, haha).

I like the double DIN because it is "solid" and has a large screen to "type" on and see while driving. Also my grandfather will be using it himself and needs the largest possible screen to see and needs a "solid" one because he is far from gentle on things. I just feel that the single DIN "pop-up" units are cheap and might break easily.....especially pushing on the screen going down the road and such.

I have a Kenwood double DIN touch screen NAV/PHONE/RADIO in my Ford that serves me well, and I would like to get something similar or the same to put in this Dodge. The dash and front Bezel is all busted up, and I will be ordering new peices from LMC Truck soon.

I KNOW THERE ISN"T MUCH ROOM, BUT WILL THE DOUBLE DIN FIT??

Thanks Dave. The 98-01's were plagued by cracking dash pieces. A new one is the ways to go. I have a guys dash pieced here right now for that year range and im doing a double DIN to it. Afterwards it is getting painted, then hydro dipped in carbon fiber and clear coated.

If could be painted and clear coated but he wanted to something to pop and stand out a little.

Hydrographic possibilities are endless.

Anyway, if you would be interested, please let me know

That sounds awesome! While this is a work truck (dually with faded paint, dents, and the basic work truck interior) I really don't see the need to pour a bunch of $$$ into customization other than the functionality of the double DIN Nav unit.

I would be intrested in you getting my truck ready to accept a double DIN unit and would like to know the price. Also, I might be intrested in some cool custom work as long as the price isn't too much. We collect antique tractors.....call ourselves the Alabama Tractor Pickers and only do International Harvester Farmall Tractors......to give you an idea of what to come up with.

Let me know by Private Message at [email protected] and we'll go from there! Look forward to hearing from you soon!
