After my Ram being taken out and me attending therapy, I figured now was the time to grab another. No need for a new one as this would be my toy, so shopping I went. Went for 2012/2013 as that’s what I am most familiar with. Looking for crew with under 100,000 miles. Now I’m in New Jersey if that has any bearing on the fact. Found 22 near me and not a single one was listed for under $22,000. The sad part is the dealer wanted to sell me a BigHorn ( 2017 ) for $30,000.

Now am I wrong for thinking over $20,000 for trucks with just under 100,000 miles is KRAZY ? Here’s my former one 2012 BigHorn with 193,000 miles on her before her demise.

No way I would pay that much for a used one with those kind of miles.
paid 27k for mine brand new, and normally interest rates are cheaper on new.

Sticker price on my 2014 QC tradseman st 4x4 hemi with 58,*** miles 3:21 when I bought it in april 2015 was $22,000

It’s like they are going after people who have not a clue that they can get newer for less. I don’t need brand new as I already have a new car. Just wanted another Ram to build up and play with lol. No problem as I have plenty of time to search for the “ right one “....

I plan to sell my beloved 2011 laramie quad when I can bear to see it go, which is proving hard. Might have to throw a few back so I can numb the pain when I list it for sale. At least it looks like the 15k Canadian I want for it seems likely.

That guy had 12k on trade in value... so it was 30k plus

Trucks just hold value... they dont depreciate much until after 100k... even then it still worth a lot...

My 10yo ford taurus at one point was traded in for 2k

10yo trucks still go for 5 to 10k plus depending on condition

darkness, good deal! glad to see it didn't take long to convince your wife to let you get another ram! that's awesome bud! good luck in your search. imo- just but new. for the money you have to spend on low mileage used, for not much more you can go new. it's well worth it, unless you can find a smoking deal on a used truck. good luck
