The rind gear bolts are reusable on your diff. You should not have to replace them.

Also, if you are looking to purchase the OEM 4.10 gears, they actually come with new ring gear bolts anyways.

alright awesome I wanted to make sure before I ordered. How much more work is the 4.56 gears to install? I have the heavy srt10 rims and rarely drive on the highway so I figured might as well.

I would DEFINITELY replace them... just because of the simple fact that they are cheap (usually included in any install kit) and if one breaks or backs itself out it WILL destroy that expensive new differential. If you are doing install yourself just remember they are left hand thread lol, i broke 2 of the old ones trying to get them out before i realized it.

As for the 4.56 question, as far as i know there is no carrier break in the 9.25 diff so there is no extra work involved with going up in ratios. I just did this job in my '01 1500 last week going from the stock lsd to a new Yukon dura-grip posi & 4.56 ring and pinion

Rebel, his diff is completely different from yours. He has the newer 9.25ZF.

Whiteram, you can install 4.56's in your truck, but you would need to have your rear carrier machined and re-drilled to accept the bolt pattern of the older 9.25 4.56 ring gear. In that case, you would also need a new set of the older 9.25 ring gear bolts...the ZF ring gear bolts will not work if you go that route.
