Just received 2 more RP 20-820 oil filters. Same build date of 7/19/18 on both. I am now set on RP oil filters for the Hemi for the next 10 years! Now if only myself and the Hemi last for 10 years, lol!:D

I just change mine every 7 to 8,000 miles, maybe to soon for Redline 5w30 and the RP filter but I want to make sure iys always good oil and clean oil and do what I can to protect those lifters..lol
I also have a Filtermag (Magnet) on the filter hoping it helps.

Thanks for the Update, over a year old makes me wonder if there still is a supply issue.

Not to brag but I've got 20 years worth:)

my opinion would be yes. 8 months ago i had no problem finding one locally. this time around only 1 out of 4 local oreillys had one. it was covered in dust too. pep boys used to have them available, at least online. now its not an option to add to cart. why would a filter thats as good as it is be so hard to get? makes no sense. just because of its price? demand isnt there in gen pop?

bad name plus failure to educate the masses

if the masses knew about spun microglass, paper filters would be dead.

Plus when you make that good of a product (and the typical person who buys them buys good oil), they are only going to do 1 or maybe 2 oil changes a year. That greatly reduces the demand.

I'm switching over to Redline 0w40 on my next oil change. What are some good alternatives to RP when it comes to oil filters for the 6.4? I've always had good luck with wix.

So my 2016 has 8400 miles, just bought it in march with 5800 miles. Dealer did oil change when i i bought it.
Now this has me thinking, if i grab a rp or fram ultra filter and go with redline 5w30 what would my oil change intervals be if i only do maybe 5k miles a year?
So many long oil threads here lol

With the RP 20-820 oil filter and RL 5w30, I am going once a year (3K-4K miles).

I always order my filters from Summit Racing, never have an issue getting them.......don’t know I’ve ever seen them on the shelf anywhere around here. And since I have to order the RedLine...........

Need to start a little stock pile, using RedLine and RP filters on the wife’s Pilot as well.

Most decent Speed Shops carry RP filters and Redline oil,at least my local ones up here in Canada do.

I do two years on 5k interval with uoa's, see blackstone thread. But 1 1/2 years is very safe sith those miles. You should surely use synthetic filtration with those intervals.

Im gonna put an order in to jegs.
If i dont have the hemi tick should i still start using 5w30? Seems everyone hates the 20w

Edit
I ordered 5w30, amazon was actually cheaper on the oil and only 2 bucks more for the filter
