I debaged my truck last night using the technique in the above sticky section" fishing line , goof off , and the 45*pull angle. worked like a champ. the problem I have now is on my drive door where the "ram" was I have massive ghosting/and a small long scuff mark looks like it is from when they put it on.. the passenger side and the tailgate are all fine it's just this one spot on the drivers side. so what's the best way to try and buff this out? thanks guys for all you're help.

I had some ghosting and some very minor fine scratches. Used the polish and then 2 coats of wax and it all disappeared.

Had the same thing happen to me when I did my car. I used braided fishing line, which was a little more abrasive. Did the same as mentioned in the previous post and that fixed her right up. Key is to pull the fishing line on a slight angle away from the body panels to avoid having it dig into the paint.

I had ghosting, and dust would stick to where the badge was and no where else, even after a good wash. I thought it was weird.

I haven't , however, waxed my truck yet to see if that helps.

Mine had ghosting as well. After a month of having the badges off, it has completely gone away. All I've done was wax the entire truck.

I also have the small scuff mark only on the drivers side where ram was, no ghosting though...kinda strange. I have so far not been able to make it totally go away even after a waxing.

Use a mild polish. Then wax. The polish will take the scratches away. The wax protects the clear coat. You just used polish to take an extremely thin layer of clear coat off so you need to protect it.

P.s. I am in no way an expert in this field but have read a bunch on detailing. I may have the idea right but may not have explained it 100%
