Did you pair the OBD adapter to your phone?I installed a bypass with a Bluetooth/WiFi connection. OBD connection under dash is not working? Has power but reader will not connect.
Thoughts?
Yes. See above.Did you pair the OBD adapter to your phone?
So the inspection station for your state? If I'm not mistaken many remove the bypass when going to dealers, maybe the same is required for the inspection equipment?Yes. See above.

So many makers of these security bypasses also sell relocation/extension kits to make it easier to remove the bypass for situations like this. I would remove the bypass and take it in for inspection to see if it resolved the issue (I'm betting it will).Yes. State inspection station.
Yeah. My dumb a$$ took the module out and chucked it. eBay replacement on order. $60 mistake. So many makers of these security bypasses also sell relocation/extension kits to make it easier to remove the bypass for situations like this. Oh, are you saying you removed the factory SGM completely? I believe the purpose of the SGM bypasses are to leave the SGM in place but allow writes to the various vehicles modules using the bypass cable. I was unaware that the SGM is removable or able to be thrown away. If so, you will definitely want that back and maybe someone else can chime in to say if the SGMs themselves are plug and play or require programming?Yeah. So the way the cable I bought worked, the SGM was not hooked up at all, so I figured it wasn’t needed.Oh, are you saying you removed the factory SGM completely? EDIT: It's possible by tossing the SGM their is no access to your OBDII port at all because the line is connected to nothing. Can you access and/or read any information from your OBDII port?
You might be connecting to the radio via a separate onboard interface. Which SGM bypass did you purchase? So the way the cable I bought worked, the SGM was not hooked up at all, so I figured it wasn’t needed.
And no, the port does not work. I have power to it, but the reader does not communicate. Which is my whole issue.
I can get codes from both my stereo(aftermarket) and the WiFi vGate Icar module I have in there.
Oh I definitely am. I used iMeastro or however it’s spelled for the stereo. You might be connecting to the radio via a separate onboard interface. Which SGM bypass did you purchase?
