So I’ve worked a deal with my local dealership to get a 19 3500 From a neighboring dealer. The truck that’s coming has the Snow Chief Package. I’ve only been able to find minimal information on what this Package includes, and some of the information is conflicting. I went to Tams build sight to see what I could find, but don’t even see the Snow Chief Package listed. Can anyone shed some accurate light on this Package? I’ve heard things like clearance lights, aux switches, heavy duty alternator, and maybe... hopefully not... 18” wheels/tires.

There is a post on hdrams forum called snow chief group that says you get:
Transfer case skid plate
220 amp alternator
Instrument panel auxiliary switches
Clearance lamps
On/off road tires

Here is what the ram truck website shows it comes with...

However, there is also a heavy duty snowplow prep package...

I have that package on my 2019 2500. It also has two brackets welded to the frame under the front end. I’m assuming it’s part of that package for a plow possibly but not 100% sure and yes mine has the 18 inch wheels which I’m not a fan of either.

All heavy duties have those and they’re not for a plow

They’re called compatibility brackets. They’re to make the truck more “compatible” with smaller vehicles in the event of an accident. Most (if not all) snow plow installation instructions say to remove these when installing a plow.

Do you have a picture of these brackets?

My 2017 3500 w/ Snow package had them. Had to remove them to install the Western Ultra Mount Plow brackets.
