So bummed out!

I was all set to pick up my Limited today, and it arrived to my dealer without the rambox system. It was supposed to have it. Even the window sticker on the truck itself says it has it. But, it clearly does not! Apparently, Chrysler mislabeled the car and screwed up the inventory system. (Maybe this is the same reason why people are reporting that they have different ratios on their trucks than indicated on their invoices, just bad production data control by Chrysler.)

The dealer then tried to find another Longhorn or Laramie with all the goodies I want, and he couldn't find one in the 200-mile radius (I'm in northern NJ).

So, back to my search. Losing hope than I can find a 2013 with some nice discounts. May have to get a 2014 as they start rolling off the assembly line.

Total bummer....

Did you order the truck or just find it in transit. If you ordered it, will they not rebuild it for you and honor the price you had worked out?

Those limiteds are, well, limited, lol. All jokes aside, we did have a limited in the shop today with ram boxes. Hope your dealer finds you a truck you like.

I had order my truck with the 3.55 and end up with the 3.21. The one thing I really wanted was the 8 speed trans. When the truck came in it had the fold flat floor in the back. I did not order it with the truck. (forgot to) It was not on the window sticker either. Dealer said well guess you get a bonus today. Got a call from my deal about 3 weeks later and he said he had a new window sticker come in for my truck. He said they must have add the fold flat floor, but he had not had time to look it over closely. (He knew I was picky about the truck and would want the window sticker.) Well after comparing the two window stickers the other thing that was different was it showed the 3.21 axle, as part of the 8-speed trany group. So I'm going to make a guess that the 3.21 is the only one available with the 8-speed trans. Also the price difference was in my favor, and the truck moves so I have no problem with it.

Mine is a 3.55, the outdoorsman usually comes with the 3.92 but I wasn't lucky enough to get that.

Ohh, God I did not want to hear that. I am supposed to pick up my new Longhorn from the dealer on Monday....that just reinforces the fact that I need to go through the truck with a fine tooth comb.....

Thanks for all the supportive replies, folks. Hopefully, I'll be able find another one soon. Seems pretty hard to find with all the options I want. I'll keep looking because this truck is the one I want! And I know you all understand exactly why.

Sounds like BS to me, when my truck was damaged in transit Ram was all over it. My Dealer talk to them and me end up getting them to give me $500 more off the truck to wait for a new build that would be fast tracked. Basically pulled one that was already being built and was similar to the features I had and added what it did not have. So I waited 4 more weeks and save $500 bucks. I'll take it!

I'm not 100% sure what happened to the first build but sounds like somebody moving it into a car hauler or train car got too close to something on the PS from the front to the back. Don't worry was told they can't sell it as new now.
