So my brother found a diablosport trinity for sale down where he lives... its been unmarried and good to go for my truck... for 300. no hemifever tune with it so ill eventually have to do that..Im heading down this week to go pick it up and install it... so i just had a few questions before hand...from what ive read ill install the software disc... hook up the tuner.. do the update and then what just plug it in and go through the instructions?.... also other than the throttle booster and mds disable, tire size anything else i should do right away? as for the canned tunes... for start ill probably run the 87 ... and then fill up with 89 and try that. Is the 87 more just a fuel economy deal or will i pick up any better performance, shifts and stuff? and lastly i have a sonnax line pressure booster on the trans plug.. i know some people say it doesnt do anything after a while but we have alot of snow atm and i dont feel like crawling under the truck to disconnect... will it effect anything with running the tuner? or is that just if i do the hemifever? I believe superchip is the one u cant run it with. Anyhelp would be great thank!

One word of advise, after you install the canned tune(i.e. 87). When you go to adjustments section, do not play with Air/Fuel or Spark adjustments, leave them be. This something only a person who is experienced with these adjustment should do. To many people have blown their motors by playing with these adjustments. Also, the fan adjustment should be left alone unless you changed you thermostat. Besides that it's plug and play. Just follow the steps that programmer gives you, exactly how it tells you. Good luck.

The higher the octane rating the more energy that is in the fuel. Typically you'll get better fuel mileage and more power from higher octane fuel. I know when I switched from 87 octane to 91 octane the PCM started retarding spark and fuel a lot less often......this was before I loaded a tune. Running 91 octane with the towing tune(I feel like the trans shifts better under normal driving than with 91 perf tune). Butt dyno couldn't tell a difference between 91 perf and tow at WOT.
