Tried to respond last night but forums were down for me.
So Dodge dealer says that chrysler has declined warranty coverage. Being that we are so far from the dealer not much I can do here. I am having the rim fixed myself, and have a line on a set of take offs if needed in the future.
The wife needs the truck for work and no place in town to rent a vehicle, so would have to drive 100 miles to rent a vehicle to push the issue with dodge.
I have bought a lot of new Dodge vehicles in the last 8 or so years, and haven't had to use my warranty yet, aside from some recalls, so kind of disappointed right now that this is the service we get in Canada. We have no Magnuson Moss act so they don't really have to prove anything to deny warranty like they do in the states.
Not covering the wheel will likely cost them more than the wheel in the long run though, I am asked everyday what vehicle I recommend because we tow for all the new vehicle roadsides. So I see it all. I usually recommend Dodge, but now will probably be GM as I do see fewer major breakdowns with both dodge and GM.
