Post up links if you have em Jeff. I would consider getting a h/o one myself for my lights and audio which are forthcoming!

not very computer literate, so ill type it out see what happens the best company dont kno if they make for the ram yet or not would be Iraggi alternators, www.dcpowerinc.com isnt to bad, Nations Starter & Alternator- Best Quality Starter & Alternator Supply!, has some if you do google search a few will pop up you would be best off getting number off there sight and talk to a real person some places can build alternator to your specs

So if I order this:

https://www.dcpowerinc.com/13985-180-oem.html

It should solve my issue without any additional equipment? If so I need to order it asap.

As for my ground loop
I think I found it, its a poor ground on the headunit.

My rca's state the following:

Eagle 25' FT Python Dual Audio Cable Male RCA to Male RCA Home Theater Gold Plate Blue Shielded 2-RCA Audio Cable with High-Retention RCA Plug Connectors
Specifications:

25' FT 2-RCA Audio Cable
High-definition home theater RCA interconnects
Unparalleled quality and top-line performance for home theater audio equipment
Ultra-flexible rubberized PVC jacket
High-retention RCA plugs
Fully molded construction
Color-coded connectors

So I doubt its a sheilding issue.

how many amps does each amplifier draw? what size fuses are in the amps them selves, at max listening volume how far down does your volt meter drop on low bass notes? theres no guaruntee that it will totally fix the problem but is the first place to start, if not enough buy a capacitor, i would say buy a cap anyways with alt

Damn 25' thats a whole lot of wire would 12' not of worked. Ive always used monster brand more pricy but have never had a problem id go with the capacitor first its like 100 compared to 600. I was running 1 12'' in my stang and when that bad boy hit my headlights and anything else that lit up would dim after i put in the capacitor it solved my problem but had to get a bigger alt for it to eventually.

25' is a lil much, 12' not enough for quad cab dont think ive got 17' but amps are up high cap will work some what as long as his voltage drops are only a lil at high volume on deep short bass, other wise stressing alt and it wont last to long

True might as well get both at 1 shot to solve any future headaches. Ya gotta love a single cab my build will be coming soon still waiting on my box.

Ill get you that info asap, I fixed my ground loop issue. 25ft Was overkill by 5 feet, but hell its high quality so it doesn't matter.

But Im having issues now when I start my truck, it takes longer to turn over like I have a bad battery or something now. I had the battery powering both amps and was draining my system like crazy.

Do I have a bad battery also now?

Battery was bad, so $150 later project is a go go.

My sub amp uses 4x25 Fuses, so I assume 100AMPS?

And the Kicker is a Class D amp using 2x25 Fuses I believe, so assuming again 150total AMPS? If thats correct and my alternator is only a 136amp is that going to put stress on my battery in any way?

Im leaning towards buying a kicker zx500.1 to replace the crunch, will provide cleaner sound and use less power.

your stock alternator is 136 and all your truck accesories is using 60-70 percent of that, if using head lights blower and everything at once that leavs you with about 50 amps reserve alt doesnt put out full amps at idle either, tatal amplifier amps is 150 but only with gains and everything turned all way up, if you have voltage drops then you are stressing battery a little, and alternator, up grade to 160 amp alt and if still very little drop get a capacitor, did you do the big three upgrade?, and is your power wire from batery to back 0gauge, if power wire to small it will draw more current

Ive ran 4ga power wire, have yet to do the big 3 upgrade. But from what youve said I should be able to push this system correct?

Just ordered some more kicker goods, subs and amps.

do the big three and up grade your charge wire from alt to battery and run 0gauge from battery to the back use splitter to two 4 gauge for each amp, alt prob still to small but upgrading your wires will help alot

good choice on the zx750.1 i was a little worried when you told me you wanted the zx500.1, the big three is easy on our trucks, i ran four grounds [battery to body, batery to frame, block to frame, alternator bracket to frame], and then did my charge cable alt to battery and thinking of running another ground block to body but will probably wait until i get second battery installed

those terminals will work lightly sand the contact spots on them as well, for the grounds no more than three feet apiece shorter the better, my grounds under the hood i used a total of about 15ft i went over board and still want a few more, you can get 50ft spools of 1/0 gauge for 45-50 shipped off ebay works just fine, terminals i got 10 for 10 shipped, that name brand stuff is for the birds my rca i get stinger the rest is off brand for wiring, ive used close to 75 foot total of 1/0 gauge but ive got two runs from front to back for all my amps
