Super loud tick after startup. Truck has 3500 miles. Video inside.

2024 Ram 2500 Tradesman Power Wagon. Truck had been sitting for 5 days, outside, in direct sun, in Phoenix and the temps were as high as 105. This is a cold start. Sound was very loud. I heard it with the windows up and rolled them down to take the video. Went away after about 30 seconds at idle. Engine is on the original oil, has not had its first change yet. Engine is stock other than an Edge Pulsar tuner set to the 91 octane performance file and MDS turned off.

Whats your take?

Show this vid to the dealer lifter noise after sitting a few days tends to happen usually last a min or so also make sure you do 4k oil changes not 10k like some idiots do.

Best way to take audio on these is from under engine, too much white noise. I'd get that tune out and put MDS back on and let the dealer deal with it. Don't give them a reason to blame you. My tick started at 3500 miles new, redline 5w30 has killed it since. But see what dealer will do for you.

The truck is going to sit for another 10 days unfortunately because Im going out of town but after that I will be back to daily driving it. Im going to make an appointment with the dealer I bought it from for the day after I get back. Ill show them this video and will take another next time I start it because its basically in the same conditions except its in the shade this time and will be sitting twice as long. I plan on doing 4k oil changes using Pen Ultra Platinum 0-40(since I dont really need the 5w unless I take it up to the mountains in the winter) and Royal Purple 20-820.

Now that I know the noise is (likely) going to happen again Ill take a vid under the truck on the next startup.
