I guess they're not tippy?
Hard to tell with Rick! lol
I quit drinking 25 years ago Brian,so things aren't as tippy as they used to be :Big Laugh:
But yea you want to make sure you've chocked the opposite set of tires, just to be safe. I always place them so they're lengthwise with the vehicle, that way they aren't prone to tipping.
You want to use some common sense when using them, they're definitely better then any Jack-all i've used;):Big Laugh:

I'm curious if this type of jack could be used on a car that sits low to the ground ...

Heck, my car doesn't have a spare tire, but there is an OEM tire air inflater that plugs into the "cigarette lighter"... I guess if one of the "Maypop tires" should "get an flat" is the reason.

You need to drive a Challenger up on a short chunk of 2X6 if you want to place them under the jack points, but i usually throw them under the lower rear a arm and jack the rear tire off the ground instead of picking the whole car up.On the front you can throw them under the a arm to,but i usually drive the cars up on a 2X6 just to be able to reach under the car.
Did i ever send you a link to these J,as they make using the front lift points on a Challenger alot safer,as you're not trying to pick the car up by the pinch weld.
I get the ones with the nut insert,as i like where they mount better, then the ones that use the threaded hole
I've put these on both Challengers and the 300.

It'd be nice if they came with a spare, instead of the sub,as i've pulled the rear sub out of both Challengers for weight reduction, and i'm to old to like the trunk vibrating, lol
I carry one of these kits in all my vehicles, never yet had to use it,but it's better to have it and not need it,then to not have it and need it :Big Laugh:

My cheap buddy made something very similiar to them, using hockey pucks, and an 8.8 bolt. I kind of kick my rear for not thinking of using hockey pucks, but we didn't come up with the hockey puck idea till after i'd ordered a set,and we were looking mine over, lol
The trick to drilling a hockey puck is to freeze it for couple hours in the deep freezer

Back to chemical anality - Lake Speed Jr. is at it again, this time showing how the wear tester was developed by Timken 100 years ago for bearing wear measurement, and more lately, for steel-on-steel gear wear testing. i.e. - boundary lubrication conditions needing an API GL-5 EP gear oil package. Using it for other oils isn't straight foward.

He neglected to mention that calcium additive is meant as a detergent/dispersant, not an antiwear additive, and with its reduction to prevent LSPI in GDI engines, is replaced by more expensive magnesium detergent/dispersant additive. Other than this change for API SP motor oil, he notes antiwear additive phosphorous was INCREASED to lower wear in engines. He also notes the reduction in engine cylinder wear in API SP motor oil formulation compared to SM, but notably neglected to mention SN! Oy!

As for gear oils, he shows how HPL Racing Gear Oil is incredibly protective compared to a commercial GL-5 gear oil.

Watch at your own risk of a*n*a*l overload!

With over 2000 pages in this thread, anybody wanna give me the cliff notes and tell me the top 3 rated/recommended oils. From the looks of it, it’s amsoil, royal purple, and PUP?? In either 5w20 or 5/30, and being I live in the south, 30 would be the recommendation?

I think you mean Redline oil,the Royal Purple that's mentioned is the filters, not oil.
The most common ones are Redline 5W-30 with a Royal Purple 20-820 filter if it fits
PUP 5W-30 with a bottle of LubeGard added to it,has the rep of being a poormans Redline

The other thread shows ram forum preferences. In order pup Is 1.

Pup
m1
amsoil
redline
rp

Of note many changes are going on, notably Valvoline has the most buzz with stout formulas. Yes on 30 weight on high mileage truck in the south at a minimum. And HPL 0w30 sc great formula.

Someone needs to get a uoa of PUP 0w40 for them hurricane HO fellas. The last one I seen was right after this date. The issue is does 0w40 have the same rules as 20 and 30 weights because we know this isn't usually the case as it is considered an HD oil weight. Posted here several times. This oil has to be drastically different then when it was an to even be serviceable in a di turbo imo. Not that I think 0w40 is the way to go anyhow, perhaps 15w40 would be the play?

Pennzoil began offering products meeting the API SP specification on May 1, 2020. This date also marked the launch of the new ILSAC GF-6 standard for passenger car motor oil. Pennzoil products meeting the SP and GF-6 standards have updated packaging with the new designations

5w30 PUP and lubeqard smoothed out one of my Hemi motors and surprisingly oil temp seems to run a couple degrees cooler. Can find decent deals on eBay on 6 packs of 15oz bottles of lubegard.

Indeed, my current lubrication strategy involves 3 items I have not been able
to find locally, anywhere.

Red Line 5w-30, Lubegard Bio/Tech, and Royal Purple 20-820 filter.
In fact, I am unable to locate any products locally under these brand names.
So online I go. And I can still find sales/bargains from time to time.

Even if I switch from Red Line to PUP/Valvoline and Royal Purple to Fram,
all of which are easily found just about everywhere, I still have to go online
for Lubegard.

YUP, no Lubeguard here, I order a 15oz bottle wheneva I feel an OCI coming up, and I just got mine in the mail. I also use PUP, and I have to ORDER that also. They have the Platinum here, but not the Ultra. Only thing I can get local is filter.

Last time I went to NAPA and inquired ref PUP, their Order price was double what I could order on line from Walmart, so no bizness fer NAPA.

I see folks talk about adding 15oz Lubegard but they suggest adding 3oz for every quart of oil, so I'd be looking at around 21oz of Lubegard. I can order (2) 10oz bottles for my next oil change instead of the 15oz I added last time.

Any thoughts? 15oz vs 20oz?

I already have the RP filter and Red Line waiting in the garage.

I ran 20 oz of Lubegard when I was running my truck on PUP 5W30 and 0W40.

No clue if it made any difference as my truck doesn't tick but it was closer to what was recommended by Lubegard.
