The long bed has 8 bolts to remove a grounding strap tail light wire plugs and the fuel filler conection its real easy .best way to change a fuel pump.20200813_155536.jpg

The box bolts were too rusty on my '96 to do that. I dropped the tank using two floor jacks.

I will go with drop the tank also.

Only problem is. the truck sits to low to be able to slide the tank out. So you would have to have the rear of jack stands.

So when i did my fuel pump i lifted the bed on 1 side to access everything. Dropped the tank, and did all the work under the truck hahah
