I to was "bumped" ...last vehicle in a 4 car pile up where a semi started it....killed the 1st car did a little damage to the next one, a newer jeep Cherokee, then me...same as you it sounds like....my ball punched right through the plastic bumper pierced the ac core if the jeep..I had $700(insurance said)for a golfball sized dent.took the money and left the dent. Jeep was at $5600,car was totalled at $26k..semi i don't know but had barely a bent low hangin type bumper.lady in that car broken arm and wrist..all airbags went off...musta had at $15k in a sound system...total custom job...so sad...this truck driver claiming brakes failed.me and the jeep guy kept bringing this up to the officers...still let him drive away with 7 tickets.all this at about 35mph at a stop light.
I didn't know which emoji to use.

Wow, sad, and angry all apply.

I had no ball in mine at the time, and I was slowing down for a stop, so the hit just pushed me forward. When I stopped and got out, his car was 6 to 8 feet behind me, an I was 10 feet behind the car in front of me. So fortunate.

Was driving a late 70s VW Transporter Van (US Army TMP) in Germany 1985 ish. Sitting at a traffic light and hit from behind by German National driving like a 1964 Cadillac U know the pointed nose. No damage to Caddy. Dented the bumper on the van. German wanted to give me 2,000 marks on the spot. Well I had a partner in van. Middle of day. German frantic cause West Germany tariff insurance was ugly even back than. And the van was marked with Lights on top and MP stickers everywhere. Wasn’t worth it called GPs (German Police). Not worth it to do silly stuff.

My partner asked your foot fall off of clutch? Said no then looked in mirror and saw monster caddy in my rear end of van.

Typical Army they gave me heck for accident even though it wasn’t my fault. Typical Army especially back then in Europe.

About 10 years ago, I had an '97 Audi A6 Quattro V6, 2 lane road 55mph, traffic was stopped and I had to stop fast. I hit my brakes and moved to the right shoulder just in case I could not stop in time. Got stopped before passing the rear bumper of car in front of me.

Good thing I moved to the shoulder. No sooner did I get stopped, when I hear the ABS of the car behind me, B-B-B-B-B-B. He comes up on my left in the lane where I should have been, his nose is about in line with the rear of my front tire.

As soon as he got there, there's about a 1/4 second loud screech and person behind him eats his rear bumper so hard that he is pushed from alongside me to across the oncoming traffic lane and off the opposite shoulder.

Holy crap. Good thing no oncoming traffic.

All this in the space of 5 - 10 seconds. You never know.

That is wat USAREUR used for MP PATROL VEHICLES for years. We did get a couple of Golfs like 87/88 ish for Patrol Sup. Back office all had Opels. Heck when I got there in 84 they still had a couple of Dodge K cars on patrol. Try driving either on the Autobahn. There may still be pics of me driving through every red light in downtown Darmstadt one night running to a shooting lol.

Here's a different PIC, wonder how many would know where taken from. PIC does give it away.
