This is my second time cleaning the throttle body, wanted to share something I found out this time while cleaning.
There are two little screws in the middle of the throttle body which hold the plate, if you remove these, it makes cleaning much easier. I was able to clean the inside 100%, i even polished it.
If you don't remove this circular plate to clean, you will miss some small areas.
I found the steel wool is the best method to clean the throttle body. nothing else compares. not even brake cleaner
I don't really have any before photos, but anyone who has taken their thottle body off to clean knows they get a dark brownish color on them
The two screws have red loctite on them, if you remove them, you should put red loctite on them when reinstalling.
