None of the techs in my circle have ever heard of this problem.

I drove a fiends '23 Silverado a while back and i thought it had a lot of delay compared to mine. He didn't think it had any. Hard to comment on a possible subjective problem like this without having another vehicle to compare it to.

It's operating exactly how it's supposed to.
It's called "fly by wire" and there are electronic throttle position programmers out there to fix this delay on the new trucks, instead of bashing something most already know about, maybe next time ask if there's a fix first before pis'n in your soup?
You're in luck, the older FBW can't be fixed with a programmer, count your blessings.
EDIT: didn't catch the "E" truck, so this might not work. Thought EV's were supposed to be instant torque? I was referring to trucks with real engines in them.
Maybe before you post a reply you should know what your talking about first. SMH

Its not an Ev. Its an E torque. RAM eTorque is a mild-hybrid system that enhances performance, efficiency, payload, and towing capabilities in RAM trucks by replacing the traditional alternator with a 48-volt battery-powered, belt-drive motor-generator. Not impressed and wont but again. Its crap.

You sound like a Ram representative. “Its operating exactly as its supposed to”. A throttle delay at all ranges of driving. Cmon man seriously? Not worth replying more. Gaslight someone else dude. Have yourself a great day!

Ooh, you sound like such an expert, please share some more of your wisdom Toada. ROTFLMAO
Guys like you typically don't last long around here with personalities like that, no wonder you only have 4 posts in 11 years, guess you're not the expert you think you are, huh?

And just where do you figure you're gonna end up at with Stellentis. Why not save yourself a bunch of headaches and stress and buy a throttle booster as has been suggested. You're fighting an uphill battle that i highly doubt you'll ever win.
Why not face reality and realize you're beating your head against a brickwall with Stellentis, and suck it up that you really won't get anywhere, and fix the issue yourself.
Good luck in your endevour though

When I bought my 2012 Ram that was the first thing I noticed. The dealer told me it was because it’s an electrical delay.
I put the throttle booster on, it acts like a cable.
So you say it's a "fly by wire" issue too, hmph, seems like I already heard that somewhere and they said there was a programmer fix for this too.
Seems some "experts" just can't be "experted" I guess? lol

Im not giving up that easily. Maybe i wont get anywhere but wrong is wrong. I get everyone suggesting pedal commanders etc etc. But I shouldnt have to put an aftermarket part on a new vehicle though.

Its crazy how many negative trolls are on this forum. Thanks for your positive reply!

I have a 22 Rebel with a 5.7 etorque and had the exact same issue. It was severe. I recently installed a Banks Pedal Monster and this knocked out the majority of it.
Hay, suggestions from OP, with good results, I guess it's just broke do something about it, we have a vendor on here that can hook you up, Stellantis is just going to tell you to Ram it up into the unknown.

I told you that you needed a programmer to fix your problem at the start of your thread Mr. "not-so" expert. lol
You've been here since me and you have 6 posts, who's the troll?
You certainly don't contribute anything beneficial to anyone. Sorry your feelings are butthurt.

I’ve noticed some lag when my truck is cold, 2021 ram 1500 limited 5.7 with e torque. Once it’s warm it’s fine

I also have a 2023 Ram 1500 5.7litre V8 E torque and I also have a delay when taking off from a stop. I try to drive it smoothly, as I'm not getting near the mileage that I got with my 2018 Tungsten Limited, but for example when pulling out onto a 25 mph street I'll not move after pressing the pedal a little, so I have to give it more gas and then it takes off as if I've mashed it. It drives me crazy! It's as if you have to factor a 2 to 3 second delay into the way you drive it. Push the gas pedal, count to 3 and begin rolling.
I also noticed that it's rough as I'm coming to a stop. At first I thought it was the Auto/Start/Stop, but it still does it when I have that turned off, which is all of the time lately. I believe now that it's downshifting several gears at once, which is causing the rough, jerkiness at near stop.
I also have a problem with the air box as I have to remember to close my blend door when going into a car wash or I lose all air flow to the cabin for an hour or until the filter dries out. This sucks in the winter and the summer. The dealership told me the fix involved removing the front quarter panel and 6 hours of work and I said, "Nope!". I'm getting better at remembering to hit the Recirculate button as I pull into the car wash.
I don't think I'll be replacing with another eTorque.
Perhaps I should look into one of those Pedal Monster's.
Can anyone tell me if they hurt the mileage?
Thanks and good luck.

In my Config file, I have these settings. Not exactly sure how they interact.

ECUConfig 14:
Acceleration Threshold: 480 degrees
Acceleration Factor: 5

Is this the latest after your Diablo tweaks?

I've read about the AlfaOBD performance tweak that included setting 'Filter off' for both those settings. Also, your post from last August shows them set to filter off.

I recall that our settings didn't use the same variables or were expressed differently between 2016+ PN and 2019 PN. Whenever I use AlfaOBD, it defaults to 2019 PowerNet even though my truck is a '21.

My Acceleration Threshold options are offered in metres /sec including settings for .1 through 1.5 m/s². The default setting was 1.5m/s².

When I load the 2016+ PowerNet, the BCM options differ offering settings for the Acceleration threshold from 200 degrees to 480 degrees.

I'm uncertain how x degrees relate to the acceleration threshold, but, both our settings were set to the highest setting.

Now that I figured out the 'Acceleration Threshold' is expressed in metres /second on my truck, I'm going to move it back to the default of 1.5m/s² because more distance per second makes more sense now.

Also, I'm going to try out the 'Acceleration Factor' set to 7, the default setting was 5.

I'll report my findings after I see the results but in the past, some of these tweaks take days to show up on my truck.

My '16's acceleration factor is set at 1.5, I tried other settings and didn't make a big whoop. I didn't have any delay, but gain wasn't turned up, either. Kind flat.

I didn't run the program backup after the 91 tune. May do that to compare. The tune accepts 0 to +20 tweeking on the acceleration gain (like the pedal monster type unit) and I set mine to 12.5. Along with idle set to 750 RPM, it is a much better feel and very snappy. That with the trans tuning and enhanced engine breaking/trans downshifting and locking the converter, it is really kinda fun.
