been reading lots. this forum has taught me alot of **** in a short amount of time. so i really appreciate everyone whos responded and just the amount of info that can be found in everyone elses threads.
that being said, Im looking to get a throttle response gagdet. I will will eventually get a performance tune once i get lt headers in but since that wont be until next year im looking to do something with the throttle response in the meantime. the diablo amped one doesnt work on the 19' classics yet is what I gather, the pedal commander has left some peoples truck in limp mode(although ive read some threads that thats been corrected) the pulsar sounds mediocre as well. any thoughts that could help me out. thanks in advance

Just get the 9-drive. Inexpensive and works the same as a PC but didn’t throw codes like my PC did. Plus since you’re getting a tune later you wont be out much money.
I read your response to the guy who purchased the wrong one, I'll be sure to order the right one if that's what I go with haha

I have a PC and been running it for about 1 year without error or codes. Been great so far.

In the end, then all do the same, some are expensive and some are not, you just need to decide which one you want and how much you want to spend.

We offer and recommend the Banks Pedal Monster. It has a built in safety so if it should ever fail it will revert to stock throttle sensitivity instead of putting the truck in limp mode. We have not heard of any failures on the Banks from our customers. Message me if you would like a quote

I have a Pedal Commander and used it for the last two years but as of late I haven't had it turned on.

It is available for sale if interested.

I've found this solution to all performance needs. Repeat after me:

"It weighs over 5000 lbs. It's not a hot rod."

See, problem solved.
There's more then a few trucks running around that'll open your eyes up,my little regular cab shortbox gives Hellcats fits at the dragstrip, and on the street will put a hurting on any hellcat on street tires.

If you know 100% you're gonna need to tune it in the future. Might as well start that process now.

HP Tuners & Donor PCM (ebay) and you can tune your own throttle response to your liking (Easy enough if you're tech. savvy enough).
Then your truck will be ready for a real tune once you get your headers & other mods on.

Pedal Commander for sure. I have a 20 Ram 2500 Diesel and it makes a huge difference. Never had a limp mode incident. You might get a check engine light if you unplug the throttle while the ECM is powered on but it clears after a couple of starts. I unplugged the batteries and installed it and never had a problem.

Wishing we still had the throttle linkage instead of the new electronic radio controlled throttle stuff, then we wouldn't be having this conversation nor spending money to make our throttle work properly. Anyone remember, back in the "70's" being told to drive like you had an egg between your foot & the gas pedal to save gas... Now they are doing it for us, whether we like it or not... I love my Pedal Commander & no problems at all nearly 3 yrs.

A good tune will definitely clear up any throttle lag. Also with my setup I can almost keep up with a mostly stock 6.4 srt challenger. I think he only had exhaust work done. Lol. I bet if I had some smaller tires and lighter truck I’d have won but not my style. Maybe with a cam I could have kept up

If you're ambitous you can convert the drive by wire system to a cable operated throttle body,it's more common in the hardcore car arena, but the trucks can be converted to a cable system. Our winter bbeater is an old supercharged 98 Buick Regal, and on icy streets i still prefer it's cable operated throttle body over any of our other newer vehicles with a drive by wire throttle body.

edit: man the nannies on here are unbelievable when they latch onto words like winter "bbeater"

I've had a Pedal Commander for the last 3-4 years - never a problem with it. I believe the problem some are having with some PCs is the bluetooth version. Mine is wired - not bluetooth- and faultless. BTW it does what it says it does.

Nah. Mine was a POS. Same with others I know who had them. Wired not Bluetooth. Code throwers or limp moders. Plus they’re waaay overpriced for what they do.
