Has anyone topped out a 2019 RAM Classic with a 3.6? I will never do it in mine, but I am curious what its top end capability is. I have the 3.55 gearing.

(I would have posted this in the V6 Engine & Performance thread but I am not able to do so)

If I'm not mistaken the trucks tops speed is limited to about 105 mph unless you get a tune to disable limiter.

Has anyone reached 105 with the 3.6? Did it feel like it was totally wrung out, or did it still have something left?

I did it with a 2015 v6 on a straight line I reached 110, I think it gave even more but I did not want to fully press my pedal, it has company and they are scared with the speed I have installed a dual exhaust with carven competitor and pedal commander

I don't think anyone can post a new discussion in this forum now. It's all locked down. You can reply to existing posts, but there are no NEW POSTS here. I'm guessing a MOD moved your post here.

I've had my 17 up to 110 and it felt like it would do more, but that's too fast in a pickup truck.

I've been a hair over 100mph... but I was in some kinda of Friday afternoon, pre rush hour madness on the Dan Ryan or Edens Expressway, don't remember, was Milwaukee bound. I have driven all over this country and there's not many places that unnerve me, but Chicago traffic is one of them. You just get caught up in it like a Lemming running to the cliff! I glanced down, saw just over 100mph and thought "$#it the bed! This is gonna go REALLY bad REALLY fast if someone hits their brakes!" and I backed down and moved over a couple lanes.

I remember being surprised that the truck didn't feel strained or out of juice and I hadn't realized the speed. I even glanced back to check on the dog and she was still snoozing away. I don't really know what the point of top speed would be in any truck. I got it to haul things and pull things.

Yes thats why I said "curious". I never top out my vehicles, but I know some do, so I thought I would ask.

Factory PCM is limited to 105ish mph just like the Hemi, only takes a little longer to get there with the 3.6penta/3.0diesel.

hold the + button in cruise and it’ll keep going without a tune, your speedometer could be inaccurate based on tire size/inflation circumference so it’s gear-based rpm restricted.

Long story, but two years ago I drove a van full of Asian people across Germany on the Autobahn in a heavy duty Opal Vivaro van in the middle of the night. We reached 115-120 at times, because traffic was light at 1am-3am. The van preformed admirably, but it was not ideal for 100+ mph cruising.

The speedo was in KPH so the van was going 68 -75 MPH. Because it was a ****** handling van it felt faster and / or more scary. :D:D

I don't think I ever had my 2017 Ram 1500 w/ pentastar above ~85mph-ish, but it would get there shockingly quick for a V6 full sized truck (unladen of course).

Nope. Speed was converted to 115-120 mph. I was passing Porsche's and BMW's at times.
