So I'm looking to trade in the truck, I currently have aftermarket wheels and tires on my rig and I want the dealership to swap out my set up and put on new truck. Can they just swap them and reprogram the sensors or do they have to actually change them out to keep original sensors with each truck?

If you’re trading a 2017 for anything 2014+, then they are interchangeable. No programming needed.

^^ this, just swap the wheels/tires, the truck relearns automatically within a few miles, mine did on my 2017

The truck will automatically sense the different sensors if they are compatible. I think 2017 model sensors are compatible with the 2018 TPMS, but I dunno. That would be the only problem.

The dealer can reset the system, but driving a few miles does the same thing.
