So I've been dealing with the 5.0 factory head unit in my 2015 Ram since I bought it and would really like to go aftermarket. The only problem is there are a lot of settings, like trailer brake settings, that are controlled by the radio. What happens to those if I put in an aftermarket unit? Any advise would be great!

Look at the iDatalink Maestro web page to see what functions it will support in your truck. The Maestro works with many of the top aftermarket head units.

You could also try entering your truck info on Crutchfield and verify there. A call to either iDatalink or Crutchfield should also get you the info.

I can confirm that the maestro retains ALL of those features...trailer numbers 1-4, trailer names, and every other vehicle user setting.
