Hi Everyone,
The other day I posted about shorting out my TIPM. I got a new TIPM, for my VIN, supposedly programmed for my truck (2007 Dodge Ram Mega Cab 1500). I replaced the TIPM, reconnected the battery, followed the instructions to power cycle (switch to run for 12 seconds, then off, then back on & start). The neutral light is on (red), no noise when cycling the switch, and no movement or load on the trans when I shift through any of the gears.

I'm trying to see if there is a way to;
1) Reset the transmission or transfer case (if separate) module.
2) Test the Transmission or Transfer Case Control Module.
3) Manually shift the transfer case in 2 High so I can drive it to a shop to scan/reprogram/etc? - would driving it this way screw up anything else?

Thanks for the help!

Hey, Looky what I found. Posted by AKVANDEN in 2015. It worked! Followed it exactly, heard transfer case shift, red Neutral light went off, have fwd and reverse gears now!

1. Bring the vehicle to a complete stop, leaving it connected
to the tow vehicle.
2. Firmly apply the parking brake.
3. Insert the key fob into the ignition switch and turn it to
the ON position, but do not start the engine.
4. Press and hold the brake pedal.
5. Shift the transmission into NEUTRAL.
6. Press and hold the transfer case switch NEUTRAL
button for one second.
7. After the NEUTRAL indicator light turns off, release
the NEUTRAL button.
8. After the NEUTRAL button has been released, the
transfer case will shift to the position identified by the
selector switch.
9. Shift the transmission into PARK.
10. Release the brake pedal.
11. Disconnect vehicle from the tow vehicle.
12. Start the engine.
13. Press and hold the brake pedal.
14. Release the parking brake.
15. Shift the transmission into DRIVE, release the brake
pedal, and check that the vehicle operates normally.

Hopefully it can help someone else!
