truck sounds like a ricer

ive got this sound like one of those coffee can mufflers when i slow to about 20, when im stopped and when i accelerate to about 20 again.
anyone know the problem and solution?

Is it just at the RPM range at 20 or what?

^Thats what im thinking. Stock exhaust covers over the 4 to 8 cyclinder change though most of the time. I know I can pick it out in the pops '12 but its not horrible.

i just got a k&n intake installed and drove the crap out of it the past couple days so i think i might have done something.
ill take it into the dealership and see what they have to say

another thing you can do is hit the tow/haul button ....pretty sure that disables mds also

yes it should, sounds like MDS to me, normal.

Yep not worth the dealer trip. The intake will make it louder also.

Doesn't running the tow/haul mode, or the manual shift mode disable O/D? I am pretty sure my truck always shifts down one gear when I do either of those two things...

Been a few months since I had my Hemi 1500, but I didn't think the TOW/HAUL locked out overdrive - it definitely does set the transmission in high gear (shutting off MDS).

Memories of hauling with that truck - so happy I'm operating the transmission instead of monkeying with that TOW/HAUL button.
