TRX oil filter adapter/cooler.

Installed the Hellcat/TRX oil cooler and oil filter adapter on my Whipple Supercharged Forged 6.4 Ram 1500. I would have to say it was very involved designing it and installing but I’ve never seen my oil temp less than the coolant temp and will be easier to change oil filter now.

Besides the mounting hardware, are all those factory parts?

Only thing OEM was the Hellcat/TRX oil cooler and the TRX oil filter adapter, everything else I built.

It looks like to me those two ports are for the oil cooler and could be plugged off and just use the adapter alone for ease of oil filter changes? Just guessing ...

It looks like to me from veiwing the pic(s) adding the TRX oil adapter alone would give the added benefit of having an extra oil cooler ... hmmm.

That oil adapter has been used on a number of dodge vehicles. My 2015 durango RT AWD has it on it and the ports are plugged.

I don't have a oil temp issue but good to know that if I did I would have to purchase less parts.

On some years the adapter doesn't work because of the bolts used to secure it which is why at "I" asked ... also the clearance is not the same which is another reason it doesn't fit ... now this one I don't know

I like this just for the adapter, however horizontal means you can't prefill the filter in an oil change...

Pacbrake relocation kit. Super easy access and vertical. You could easily replumb it into a cooler if you wanted.

I would not use the adapter if you plan on plugging the ports, would prevent oil flow.

Pacbrake relocation kit. Super easy access and vertical. You could easily replumb it into a cooler if you wanted.

My buddy has one of these kits and it only had -08 hoses and he lost oil pressure, so he did some porting and upgraded to -10 an hoses, mine has -12 hose of which is required.

I thought the fittings could've been larger, but I still see 38-40 hot idle and 48-50 hot driving.
