If you're asking about the vent hole, it should be at the 12 o'clock position.

So drive the thing. If they are sitting at 205 while idling, thats perfectly acceptable. You have to remember that you have more cooling power while moving. Also, did you change the turn-on for the fans to 180 with a tuner?

I understand that, but you can adjust the time the electric fan turns on for the AC condenser. Adjust that with your tuning tool (DS Trinity I would assume?) and set it for 180*. You may see a drop in temps as itll kick on earlier which will help with idle cooling.

The correct e-fan on temp setting in your tuner is 7-10º higher then the temperature your thermostat opens at.

If you set it for 180º the fan will run almost constantly and will likely die pre-maturely

My truck ran about 183 degrees a year and a half ago when I first put in the 180. It was a CST or a Jet? Can't remember. Over that time my temps have crept up and has recently been running 192-194 where last summer it ran 188 or so. I bought a Duralast from parts house (Motorad makes it) and the springs are noticeably thinner and the "bypass" or whatever it's called opens up much farther than the older one. Now my temps are 181-183 driving in town or on highway. Idling on location my truck was getting way over 200 during the day now it barely will hit 190-192 idling in the Texas heat. I am stoked. Try a different brand of thermostat if yours is old.

Mine stays around 185. It will jump in the low 190s when idling.

But has never been anywhere close to 200

I got a jet 180 installed about a month ago at first hottest it got was 188 while boosting now weather I boost or or drive normal it's 195 just wondering cause I read with a 180 Tstat if it goes over 190 than something isn't right

Do you have a tuner to adjust the fans? Before I tuned mine it wouldn't get around 180 very much.

Plus heat soaking your motor under boost. It will take a while to cool back down. Especially if its hot out.

Mine stays at 185 all the time now. Used to run 215. I don't see an auxiliary fan for AC . Does my 2011 have one?

its under the ********* shroud, right up against the radiator

All 4G Ram V8's come with both a mechanical/clutch fan and an e-fan
