Hey guys I went and talked with the people that is going to install my leveling kit along with new tires and nerf bars. As I was talking to them about the leveling kit they said I would need a new upper control arm that was extended due to the fact that when I put the leveling kit on the upper control arm will be tilted which if I bottomed out could cause damage to the truck. Is this true? If so, what do I need to get? I am putting bilstein 5100's on with 1" lift in the back with rear coil spacers. Putting 5100's on at 2.8. Thanks

From what I have read it's a coin flip. Most will say buy the mevotechs and paint them, they tend to rust. At 2.1 you won't need to replace them.

I have mevotech uca's they are cheap to purchase, but not a requirement. If you already have a good amount of miles on your truck it would be a good preventive maintenance measure to change them. Only knock I have on them is they seem to eat through grease so just check them every 5k or so to make sure they are staying greased.
